Nope. Well, mine haven't yet. You could try Alouiseg's roller thingy, I suppose.

izzybiz · 22/06/2010 18:04

Im sure I read somewhere that all your bodies ligaments soften and stretch during pregnancy which explains your feet spreading.

MrsJohnDeere · 22/06/2010 18:09

Mine are no longer but much wider. Have developed bunions since being pg with ds2. I can no longer wear 'normal' shoes.

Bumblingbovine · 22/06/2010 18:11

Mine haven't gone back down in size. DS was born 5 year ag and I was an 8 to begin with. I now generally need a 9 or else a very very wide 8.5

It is anightmare actually and I rarely buy shoes any more because of it.

tethersend · 22/06/2010 18:12

My arches haven't fallen at all- still annoyingly high, in fact...

...I have to fit back in those shoes one day.

Bollocks.

gemmasetters · 22/06/2010 18:25

Pinkmarshmallow, you are not alone. My feet have shrunk at some point since having DD, 2.5yrs ago. Not so much that my shoes don't fit anymore (sadly, would love the shopping excuse!) but I can def tell. Was size 8 to 8.5, now 7.5 to 8. Weird. So whats the explanation for that?

fatsatsuma · 22/06/2010 18:29

Mine got bigger (wider/fatter) BUT they have shrunk again (my dc are 11, 9 and 2).

I wore a pair of ballet pumps the other day which I bought 20 years ago so do not despair

tethersend · 22/06/2010 18:45

fatsatsuma, you have given me hope, thank you.

I can wait 11 years.

ByTheSea · 22/06/2010 18:54

Pre-kids 5 1/2, post-kids 6.

FairyLightsForever · 22/06/2010 19:17

My arches haven't fallen either, but I was a 6 and I'm now a 6.5 or 7. Thankfully I'm not that into shoes, so I haven't had to replace loads

Polgara2 · 22/06/2010 19:44

Oh wow I thought I was being freakish in having feet that had grown in adulthood . I love MN, it always tells me things!

bigstripeytiger · 22/06/2010 19:48

My feet went from a 5 to a 6, and now have gone back to a 5.

Adair · 22/06/2010 19:54

Mine grew. I got rid of old shoes and now they have shrunk again (after buying lovely boots in the 'new' size, grr).

My dc only 4 and 2 so maybe not too long to wait, Tethersend. Though pregnant again so maybe they'll grow again .

Yes, the weird things no-one tells you about being pregnant...

ticktockclock · 22/06/2010 20:02

Yep mine went from a 5 to a 6. After a few years (and FINALLY losing the baby weight) they have gone back down a half-size to a 5.5. Which is a bloody awkward size to find.

bratnav · 23/06/2010 04:13

After 3 DC mine have gone from a 6 to an 8, still very narrow though.

atworknotworking · 23/06/2010 07:43

I'm another shrinker 5 to a 4 does anyone know why feet shrink

ProfessorLaytonIsMyLoveSlave · 23/06/2010 21:25

trefusis and atworknotworking clearly need to get together and swap pre-children shoes...

Bicnod · 23/06/2010 21:29

Blimey - I thought it was just me. Mine were 5.5-6 and now 6.5-7. And I've always had totally flat feet so no new fallen arches. Weird weird weirdy weird.

BeenBeta · 23/06/2010 21:32

DW increased a half a shoe size and she has now only just gone back to her old size. DS1 is now 10 but the odd thing is her whole body seems to shrunk. Hands, ribs, feet. All suddenly happened over the last year.

Lost about 2 kg and she is only a size 10 so it is not fat she has lost.
