Honesty please

I decided today that my shoulder length highlighted hair is the same style i was wearing in the 90's and i need a change (i'm 41 btw.
It's finer at the sides than the back so broken and wispy and probably needs to be shorter.I have fine features with large eyes and am fair skinned.
I'm not a yummy mummy I wear skinny jeans, maxi dresses, leggings etc but my hairdo needs an update. Cut booked for sat - any ideas you style guru's?

I don't actually have a photo to upload but i looked at yours and loved the colour. Is it natural? I would like a similar shade to tone down mine.

My colour isn't natural, last time they supposedly dyed it back to something close to natural and then put new highlights in it.

It's actually much lighter than my natural colour now (but has perhaps lightened on its own as it tends to).

Yes - very easy.

I've got a good cut so literally rough dry it with my hands and then shove straighteners through the top layer. Takes no time and looks nice I think.
