trying to rescue an expensive purse/wallet - can you help?

hello there

i have a very expensive 7 year old black leather purse.
I reallly love it and don't need/want a new one but it is looking rather knackered.
if i just rub black shoe polish into and polish them up like a pair of shoes would that be a good idea or do you have any tips you can share?

Try the scuff kote (paint type that dries for children's shoes) kind of polish rather than traditional. You don't want polish all over the inside of your handbag.
