What should a short, fat bird wear to her brothers June wedding?

HELP. I really have no idea what to wear. I have two weeks to find something. I don't do dresses/skirts and normally tend to live in jeans/top. I don't think that would go down too well (especially with the bride!).

I'm 5' 1", size 18/20 up top, 16/18 middle.

PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE help me. I don't do clothes (so much so that when my friend suggested a maxi dress the other week my response was "what is a maxi dress?" !) I am so not a clothes person that I will be needing to get new shoes too as I only have trainers, boots and wellies.

could you borrow something off a friend with the same clothes size?

Wrap dresses are quite flattering I think, and you can pull the waist in comfortably if you see what I mean.

Thank you for all the suggestions, I am going to be brave and I'm going to go and try some things on one evening this week. It will depend when DH is around because he is busy triathlon training (now if I just joined him in that then finding clothes to fit and look good would be so much easier!).

I found one. All by myself too. Two of my friends had offered to come with me. Unfortunately come last night one was working late and the other one is poorly sick.

I nervously made my way to the shops and committed myself to trying on some things that I wouldn't normally even consider.

I have settle on this which I wouldn't have even looked at if I'd seen this picture I'm glad I did. In my very humble and not very knowledgable opinion this dress needs boobs and a bum in it.

Thank you for all you help and ideas. I am now on a mission to save up some pennies so I can overhaul my wardrobe and get some new everyday clothes.

Oh I love black and white dresses. That's really nice and you could wear it again.
