Dress to go with these shoes please?

I have a quirky and not very dressy wedding to go to in a few weeks, I have www.shoe-envy.co.uk/Fly_London_Viola_Sandals_p91.html these shoes, although in real life they are a bit of a greener brown, sort of khaki I guess, and would like to wear them so I've been looking for something to go with them

I'd like to wear a dress or maybe a jumpsuit, but it can't be too 'weddingy', as they would like everyone to look a bit alternative......

I've been looking for ages, and everything I find which I like then seems to be everywhere. I have taken to trawling the ebay vintage section, but I'm scared of polyester. To top it all off nicely, I don't have much of a budget- £50 max.

Anyone seen anything they love lately?

abit mad?
maxi would suit the style of your sandals
cream
drop waist
ditsy
not sure if too short!

Poppity · 13/06/2010 19:05

Thanks Clure- I quite like the Lipsy one actually, not taken much notice of Lipsy before, all the others look a bit short to be honest.
I sould have said I'm quite tall- 5'10", and size 10, but I don't like showing my legs much, it needs to be down to the top of my knee at least.
Also, I am v pale, white and cream dresses look terrible on me sadly.

Poppity · 13/06/2010 21:24

Love the second one, but they both look too short again.

Ooo, more! I like the first boohoo one ticktock- I've never had anything from them before. It's quite a cute little thing isn't it?

The Oli one is nice too, but I just can't wear that colour I'm so pale.

I actually have one really similar to yours already tethersend

hope the link works

Poppity · 13/06/2010 22:07

I think I found it this one?

I do kind of like it- it's a bit shiney....

Can you see why I've been having problems?! I swear I'm not usually this hard to please! Usually there are loads of things I really love which practically jump out at me, but at the moment I'm finding it all a bit meh.

Perhaps it's my age

Love this jumpsuit obviously something has happened to the purchasing part of my brain which is at odds with the recession.

Poppity · 13/06/2010 22:14

ticktock!!! I love all of those- yay!
Have you bought from there before though? What happens with customs- I've been charged a fortune before buying clothes from America.

OP posts:
ticktockclock · 13/06/2010 22:18

Yes I have but I have never been charged customs as I either have them sent to my home in Canada, or have them sent to a friend in the US who forwards them on to me. However if you don't have that as an option I would recommend this

I think that you may not have a problem with customs either as they are independent traders on etsy (people make in their homes as a cottage industry and send to you) so customs are more likely to think that it is a gift as it is not shop packaged.

heverhoney1 · 13/06/2010 22:20

this one?

or

this one?

as you can see I am mostly looking at jumpsuits lol

Poppity · 13/06/2010 22:32

Thanks ticktock, will check that out tomorrow- perhaps I will email the sellers too.

Hever, I do like jumpsuits, but I don't like the tapered leg/hareem style, the wide leg ones are lovely and I've been looking for one all year- seen one of them anywhere, especially strapless?

Got to go to bed now, back tomorrow, night night
