False lashes...

I'm thinking of having some semi-permanent eye lashes applied for my wedding day. From what I've read they can last about 3 weeks so will be nice for honeymoon also. I don't know anyone thats had them done though, wondering if anyone on here has, or knows someone that has. Are they any good? Worth £75? The brands that have cropped up are Nouveau and Hollywood.

Thanks!

They are amazing, my semi permanent ones lasted abut 2 weeks but looked best for first week. they cost £25, yu can get permanent ones done for £60 which I'm currently saving up for!

My friends daughter is training at beuaty college and has just started doing these, they do look very natural as long as you don't have them too long! The lashes themselves only cost about £5 per pack and not much more for the glue...so £75 is a complete rip off! Friends DD is doing them for £15 at the moment and when she has had some more practice will charge £25 I think. The beauty salon she is working at charge about £40 so I would look for somewhere cheaper to get it done if I were you!

Agree with crazypreg - don't get them too long, fuller and a bit longer than normal look best...

They are the permanent ones... prices at salons here aren't cheaper than £65, the average is £75. The Nouveau website states that prices range (depending on location and experience of the beautitian) from £75 to £200.

Calamansi - can you wea mascara? Get them wet, remove make up from them?

I've read they look great when first done but can go a bit clumpy after a couple of days? I will be getting them done 3 days befor the day, so I'm concerned about this!

Will do kodak, my fil gave me a £50 beauty voucher for xmas so I thought I would spend it on something I wouldn't normally do.
I've got to go on Wednesday to get my own lashes tinted black then the falsies go on Friday.

Hi! I got these done a couple of months ago (permanent ones) and loved them. Im in Ireland so in my local beauticians (they are usually much more expensive!!)30 lashes in each eye is €90 but you can go up to 100 lashes for €130.

They last as long as your own eyelash lasts - so obviously will fall out when your natural eyelash falls out, be prepared however to loose a few early - as you cant tell which eyelashes are ready to shed when you get them in, if you know what I mean. My beautician recommends filling them every 3-4 weeks which is €25.

You can wear mascara, but are warned that this will shorten the life of them, as your basically pulling at them - equally so will eye make up remover etc..

You cant get them wet or wear mascara for the first 24 hours (for glue to set completely), so keep this in mind.

They are absolutely fabulous. I was so silly, have been so busy, I didnt get a chance to get them refilled, I initailly got them done (30 in each eye) when ds was 9 weeks old, hes now 19 weeks and I still have one or two left but they are more or less gone. I have an appointment to get the 100 done next week and will definately be keeping them. Also be aware, if your getting alot done that your appointment may have to be split up over a few days - when I got 30, it took an hour and a half. Its tedious enough so this time, Im having 50 on Tuesday and 50 on Wednesday.

Best of luck! bet you'll love them.

Sorry - one other thing, as someone said, they can get clumpy (more that they crossover eachother) after a while, you can ask your beautician for a tiny brush for them - its like a teeny, clean mascara brush basically (or you can get them in the pound shop) and this detangles them and makes them good as new!!!
