Just been on the website (never actually been in the shop as it is flippin miles away) and there are tops on there for 2.99, kids stuff for the same price.... is this right??? is it actually that cheap??

And of course, is it any good or is it going to fall apart/warp in the first wash????

Advice please, as for a first look, there are some things I quite like!

Cheers.

It can be if you have a good ratch around, I love it!

EnglandAllenPoe · 09/06/2010 13:36

if you like the sort of thing they do, yes it is pretty cheap. not very nice some of it, thready, thin materials and some rather odd styles (i thought..such as eg the polyester leopard print playsuit...) but there were also things i thought were nice.

Always been pleased with h and m stuff. Not all of it is that cheap though, so you need to pick and choose and look on the sale racks.

ShatnersBassoon · 09/06/2010 13:37

I think it's good value, especially the children's clothes which seem to be better quality than Asda or Tesco.

fabhead · 09/06/2010 13:39

the kids clothes are definitely - last much longer than supermarket stuff and similar prices.

BertieBotts · 09/06/2010 13:41

Yes, their children's stuff and adult basics are really cheap, the other adult clothes are less cheap but still won't break the bank.

Quality good, better than supermarkets, not as good as Next/Debenhams/etc. Seems to wash well.

Mix of styles as EAP says - some really cute, unusual, colourful stuff, and some terrifying things! I especially like the fact their children's clothes aren't so gender segregated like other shops.

I love H&M. If I had to pick one shop to get all my clothes from that would be it!

doggiesayswoof · 09/06/2010 13:41

yy for kids' clothes.

I have never had much luck with clothes for me though. Although I did have a nice mac a couple of years ago that looked much more expensive than it was.

nigglewiggle · 09/06/2010 13:43

I like the children's clothes because they have a lot of plain, 100% cotton with no tacky logos etc. But, you do really need to handle the clothes to determine the quality.

isthatporridgeinyourhair · 09/06/2010 14:34

I like H & M - they had some great stuff a few weeks ago.

Marne · 09/06/2010 14:37

Some of it seems to be cheep (tops for 2.99) and some more expensive. I went a few weeks ago when we were on holiday (we don't have one near by), i picked up a couple dresses for dd (one was 3.99 and the other was 9.99) and a couple of t-shirts (one was 2.99 and one 7.99), the plain clothes seems to be cheep but anything fancy seems to cost a lot more (character clothes/hello kitty etc..). It seems to wash well.

BertieBotts · 09/06/2010 15:22

I got a nice cookie monster T shirt for DS there the other day for £2.99. The cotton was quite thin but as it's summer that's no bad thing. Other tops they sell (long sleeved stripy ones etc) seem thicker, so maybe it's just their summer stuff.

I love the little girls maxi dresses at the moment and the boys checked shorts.

DilysPrice · 09/06/2010 15:25

The kids' clothes are almost all excellent - the adult stuff is much more hit and miss.
