White linen trousers and underwear. Discuss

I have a rather fab pair of white linen trousers which generally don't get worn much due to typical Scottish summers! However with this wonderful weather we have been experiencing (ok, I know it's about to end but bear with me!) there are lots of opportunities for me to wear them. However I haven't yet dared put them on due to the whole 'what pants to wear' dilemma. Although they were a little £££ they are not lined so most underwear can be seen through them just a little. I was thinking 'boy shorts' but is this a little too obvious.
What would you do? Discuss. (Please don't anyone suggest commando!)

Many thanks

Flesh coloured no v-p-l pants.

Eek - just scrolled down and found EXACTLY the same discussion! Apologies.

Yes, flesh coloured something is the only way. Don't go down the white thong route because then everyone can tell you're wearing a white thong, which is more than they need to know.

And a panty liner if you have moist fadgeness

I actually think white cotton boy shorts are the best option. I bought some M&S invisible fabric boy shorts two summers ago, fairly sheer fabric and I realised (too late) that you could actually see my tattoo through the trousers and knickers.
