Sunday Times Style mag claimed that ASOS had one.
I couldn't find one- has anyone found a good copy?

FelicityMintcake · 04/06/2010 20:10

Is this 'button through mumsy' denim skirt?

DarrellRivers · 04/06/2010 20:20

Yyy
Less of the mumsy though

Ah but I threw out a few realising from mn that the button thru denim skirt were a big no-no at one point.

Arrgh! Now they're ok if Stella has knocked them up. But apparantly only as an ironic nod to mumsiness and not if you actually are one.

I give up!

Ronaldinhio · 04/06/2010 21:00

I'm with felicity on this

CristinaTheAstonishing · 04/06/2010 21:59

v nice a bit short (I'm 5'7" and it's above knee)

PortiaNovmerriment · 04/06/2010 22:00

I think I saw one on the M&S site.

PortiaNovmerriment · 04/06/2010 22:02

Yes, here it is.

CristinaTheAstonishing · 04/06/2010 22:02

as seen on here

I think the one on M&S is even shorter.

DarrellRivers · 04/06/2010 22:15

both the esprit one and the m+s too short

I liek the tall sally one, but I am short so will I be banned/expelled from the site if I try to buy one.

I am slim hipped, I reckon it might work on me, but will try it and see.

PortiaNovmerriment · 04/06/2010 22:19

I'm only 5'2", so the M&S one woukld be ok length-wise, but I suspect that I would look a bit chubby-bogan in a denim skirt anyway...

piratecat · 04/06/2010 22:22

oh i have a skirt like that, i bought 2 yrs back in peacocks.

am i cool now then? never worn it. i like skirts but never feel confident.

CristinaTheAstonishing · 04/06/2010 22:23

Darrell - I hadn't bought from LTS before and got a size 12 and one 14. The 12 is almost too big. If you're in between sizes I'd say go down a size.

MakemineaGandT · 04/06/2010 22:24

I think they are horrid. Stella should have more imagination

DarrellRivers · 04/06/2010 22:25

They only have a 10 which I think will be too large
Darnit, that is the best one I've seen
Perhaps will order and return as nec hmmm

I started a thread about this a while ago. Got mine in Monsoon - no buttons but a good shape and length. Iove it and can see I will wear it in the winter with tights and boots.

GormlessHeart · 04/06/2010 22:26

If you are 18, gorgeous, leggy and not actually a mum, then this weird mum chic is for you. Go for it.

DarrellRivers · 04/06/2010 22:29

Sometimes MN is soooo limited
Be free people
I am not just defined by being a mother merely defined as being gorgeous and skinny

I am gutted that I threw one out a year ago. It was exactly like Stella's and had the right amount of 'lived in' feel.

Gah.

tethersend · 05/06/2010 11:38

I got the LTS one, and it has stretch in it and was too short for me- it's 20" in length, and I wanted it to sit just on or below the knee. It is the best copy I've seen, but not right for me; and I'm 5'7".

bran · 05/06/2010 11:57

Denim skirts make me think of varicose/bulgy veins. I don't know why I make that association, but it's too strong for me to ever wear a denim skirt.

ifancyashandy · 06/06/2010 16:35

I got all excited at the LTS one - and then saw the length. I'm 5'8 so it wouldn't work for me. Agree about it needing to be knee length (in a kinda 70's homage!)
