help for an afternoon gig at a Jazz Club

I don't normally post in this topic but just thought I'd try and get some ideas from you stylish lot.

Ok, I am going to an afternoon party at a jazz club. It's a launch party of a Glen Miller styly album. What should I wear bearing in mind I will be travelling by train to get there and it is likely to be warm. THe club is most likely to be dimly lit, thankfully.

I am 5'7 and not of the slim variety, talking size 18/20 and no redeeming features lol. No, not quite true but you get the picture.

Have linen (mix) stuff which I quite like but likely to end up looking like a bag o spuds. Help

Tethersend, that second link had postage at £75.00.

But the dress was nice.

DelGirl · 04/06/2010 12:20

I want to get some maxi dresses (well at least try some on) as moving to Italy in August. Do you think that would be ok with a little cover up? Or not? Guess it depends whether it suits me lol.

Crop trews not a good look for me. Hayelp. I'm sure I can cobble something together if not.

What a bunch of crooks. Ignore that one, then

Just thought of something in my wardrobe that I keep forgetting about that is from East. Tis a silky patterned dress coat which will go with my navy trews etc. May go with that if all else fails

ok ok, I get the message. Have been advised by my stylish lady friends to wear what I said at 12.20 or maybe try and get a maxi dress. Oh I dunno. Your comments cut to the quick might I add and I am deeply hurt
