So tonight I have been invited to see Lady Gaga, what the hell does one wear?

A supplier from work is traeting the whole marketing team. The supplier is our PR agency, full of twenty somethings who will look effortlesly trendy I am sure. They have said they are dressing up.

I am thinking skinny jeans, heels, I have a funky miss sixty t shirt, and chucking a blazer over the top.

Dh says blazer is wrong, and I should be i skinnies, logo t shirt and converse pumps.

Help!

I would agree with your DH, but that is because that's more my style. Won't you be boogying?? In which case heels and blazer would be hot and uncomfortable. Or will you have to pretend to be too cool to dance?

MollieO · 04/06/2010 10:38

If the audience is similar to those I saw at the Black Eyed Peas concert this week then you need to wear jeans and t-shirt that are a couple of sizes too small, or leggings.

First time I've been to a concert in about 6 years and I was amazed at how no one appeared to have dressed up.

DrNortherner · 04/06/2010 10:39

Its ages since I went to a concert, I've even forgot about the boogying!!! We are in a private box so I can take the blazer off safely.

Lol at waitingforbedtime!

I'd go for the blazer on top - you can always take it off if you want.

dinkystinky · 04/06/2010 11:13

Definitely converse, not heels - your feet will be killing you by the end of the evening!

numptysmummy · 04/06/2010 11:14

Or some flat gladiator type sandal thingys.

Coderooo · 04/06/2010 11:16

god i hate her and her music

tethersend · 04/06/2010 11:57

Bin bag fixed at a jaunty angle with sellotape.

Jacksmybaby · 04/06/2010 12:26

I saw her at the O2 in Feb. Definitely dress up a bit but as people have said above avoid the high heels, go for gladiators instead. Lots of people were dressed up (as in smart); lots of people were dressed up as in in Lady G costumes/wigs etc too!

schmontilidrop · 04/06/2010 13:46

my sister went last week.

she said lots of people REALLY dressed up. Like leotards, fancy dress, lady gaga inspired outfits.

i think its a bit anything goes.

i was as i was meant to go to. I will go next time, and fully intent to wear a latex top and some kind of weird hat...

;)

ShowOfHands · 04/06/2010 13:52

I'd wear a big sign saying 'I don't belong here'. And I'd take a decent book with me.

DrNortherner · 05/06/2010 17:14

WEll I wore jeggings, heels and a floaty long floral top and it was BOILING in teh arena. We were in a private box so I kicked my heels off and drank champagne!

She was amazing live, fantastic voice, but man is she seriously fu*ked up. If she was not famous she would probably be sectioned!

There were loads of folk dressed up in all sorts of weird and wonderful outfits, and strangely lots of young kids there too....
