A pair of gladiator sandals?

ShowOfHands · 03/06/2010 17:24

There's a really good book I saw the other day on Norfolk coastal defences. I'm going to buy that. It's cheaper than gladiator sandals.

controlfreakery · 03/06/2010 17:24

have bought 2 things! metallic silver wedges (low) with big bow and linen t shirt in dove grey.
would like sun hat that makes me look stylish / efortlessly cool rather than like mad granny.

cocolepew · 03/06/2010 17:26

Tescos 3/4 utility trousers

puzzlepetal · 03/06/2010 17:27

No good for me- severe plantar fasciitis -9 months and counting-means I'm stuck in ugly stability trainers and orthotics for a long time to come.

I fancy a new dress, and bought an Emily and Fin one from Oliver Bonas this morning. I will look a bit crap wearing it with the orthopaedic accessories but TBH I don't really care!

Oh and some new Lola Rose never goes amiss.

Ewe · 03/06/2010 17:28

A maxi dress. They look great on most people.

cocolepew · 03/06/2010 17:31

Puzzelpetal get yourself a pair of birkinstocks they cured my pf within a few weeks. I'd had it for over a year, in the winter I wear Birkie insoles.

Themasterandmargaritas · 03/06/2010 17:31

Attach links please y'all

I'll bring you a cheap pair SOH from here, all rainbow colours patchwork and gingerbread.

ShowOfHands · 03/06/2010 18:09

Oooh size 5 please.

So during your July trip over, how many hrs will you be spending shopping?

I'll tell you what everybody's wearing atm. I'm a fashion pariah but I have eyes. These things. They're everywhere. Look more of the darn things. Don't do it. Please. Or shoe boots. There are other options.

I like you in that beautiful dress you had on in a fb pic once. V bold print, bright. Suited you.

puzzlepetal · 03/06/2010 18:12

Thanks colcepew but the Birkies don't help. If only...

wineismysaviour · 03/06/2010 18:16

A handbag....always a handbag.

BudaisintheZONE · 03/06/2010 18:24

Well I have been doing a bit of shopping last couple of days.

I bought these. Last time I looked they didn't have my size and then someone posted a 20% discount yesterday and I had a look and they had them.

Also got an email from Land's End with free overseas delivery. I know they are fairly boring but at size 22 I don't have many options. Bought these and 3 of these in gray, white and green. Have a couple of light cotton waterfall type cardigans from Monsoon in navy and white and needed something to go with them.

Themasterandmargaritas · 03/06/2010 18:28

Eeek at floral leggings

Will definitely be contemplating the odd bag or two.

How much time realistically can I expect to shop with three delightful dc who are totally unused to shopping? I fear it'll take me three hours to get round Tesco's.

MarineIguana · 03/06/2010 18:32

I have just found the most flattering linen trousers I have baby weight on stomach and am not feeling v. gorgeous, but they really do look nice. A bit £££ but I didn't have any for summer and I think they will last.

wineismysaviour · 03/06/2010 20:49

Themaster, shop online and get tesco to deliver...simples...

BudaisintheZONE · 04/06/2010 07:02

Well as you never get a shopping trip I would said you need to get rid of the DCs for a morning and get yourself to a good size shopping centre.

Also do online shopping before to be delivered to where you are staying.

ameliameerkat · 04/06/2010 19:00

I bought glads today! All the ones I'd seen either went too far up your ankles (I'm short and they would have made my legs look fat) or were completely flat or had ridiculous heels (neither of which I wanted).

Then today I was idley browsing in Barratts and saw these www.barratts.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product1_10055_-1_142628_10553
Perfect! For me anyway And cheap as they're kids shoes! I like having size 4 feet

cyb · 04/06/2010 19:02

I boyught some cool glad wedges this avvo from TK Maximillian

spent 20 minutes undoing and doing up the teensy buckles only to see an easy access zip at the back of each shoe

god the green parrots are going beserk in the tree outside

cyb · 04/06/2010 19:03

MARINe I have an almost exactly the same pair of Kew trews I no longer want, brand new, well worn once, are you a 14?

Themasterandmargaritas · 05/06/2010 05:26

Nice amelia.

Green parrots? Swap them for Sacred Ibis.

I could online shop, but I want, so want to go shopping . It's just not the same.

I can't do Tesco online now though as I no longer have an account.

Alouiseg · 05/06/2010 05:52

Be warned, I bought Gladiator Sandals and they make my legs look short and fat which they most certainly aren't.

notyummy · 05/06/2010 06:49

Wedges and a maxi. Plus some pretty flats.

I have also bought a. Couple of Emily and Fin dresses from Oliver Bonas and think they are v pretty.

notyummy · 05/06/2010 06:53

I have just bought this maxi

notyummy · 05/06/2010 06:58

and these flats

I've kind of missed the 'just one thing' point haven't I?
