what to wear for uni interview?

just need a quick bit of advice please ladies. I have an interview coming up for a social studies course and am unsure what to wear. Would you just treat it as a job interview and dress formally or would you be slightly more casual? but what type of thing? it's been a long time since i've had any sort of interview!

formal but comfortable. with shiney shoes.

I would do smart casual.

Trousers/ skirt and smart top.

I always wear a suit for interviews, always have. Job, uni, postgrad courses. No one is going to criticise you for wearing a suit, but more casual outfits may leave that possibility open. I real;sie it shouldn't matter but it does! (I do a lot of interviewing, on both sides of the table).

I am trying to remember what I wore, I can remember my mum bought me a suit, it was 15 years ago!
