South, I hope you love it, the jersey is a fantastic weight, sits in all the right places and I feel fantastic in it...

I've posted this dress before and someone bought it and loved it, so let me know what you think when you get it..

topsi · 03/06/2010 20:15

OOOO South, you got there first!! It's in the sale so I don't expect they will be getting any more in, soooooo sad!

southeastastra · 03/06/2010 20:20

sorry, the black one wasn't in the sale though

IO dress is gorgeous, and l like the way the picture moves on the website so you get a better idea of actually wearing it. I have lots of wrap dresses, but always wear a vest top underneath after an unfortunalte incident when my boobs were unwittingly exposed when I was arguing witha customs person

brimfull · 04/06/2010 00:09

The good thing about the IO dress , the short sleeved one is the cut of the neck line doesn't gape when you sit down like they do in other wraps dresses.

The long sleeved one is cut differently and looks like it would gape on me.

topsi · 04/06/2010 07:43

The IO short sleeved dress is now in the sale and only available in a few sizes, I am gutted. I wonder if they will be replacing it with something similar?

Loujalou · 04/06/2010 13:37

Am going to order the black wallis one.

If you register with the lovely Topcashback you get 10% cashback as well.

Loujalou · 04/06/2010 13:38

Or the IO dress. Have big norks decisions decisions but the Wallis one does seem a bit of a bargain.... Could buy both. Any IO vouchers?

Rindercella · 06/06/2010 22:52

I wore my blue IO dress to a Christening today - as with the wedding I wore it to last weekend, I have never had so many (positive) comments on an outfit. It is one stylish dress and well worth the 80 quid (got discount) I spent.

LaCerbiatta · 06/06/2010 23:26

I'm thinking about ordering the IO dress. What are the sizes like? I'm usually a size 10 but am still a bit top heavy due to breast feeding.
TIA

wineismysaviour · 07/06/2010 07:54

Buy the 10, its jersey so it fits to size somewhat!

ladylush · 07/06/2010 10:45

Nice dress but having read the reviews am a bit concerned that it may be too short on a tall woman. I'm 5ft 10.

ruffletheanimal · 07/06/2010 10:55

dont wrap dresses show vpl's something shocking tho??

ladylush · 07/06/2010 11:06

easily resolved with no vpl knickers

LaCerbiatta · 07/06/2010 12:51

Thanks!

LaCerbiatta · 07/06/2010 13:44

Well, practically no sizes left.... There seemed to be 10s and 12s yesterday...

Rindercella · 07/06/2010 16:22

Ladylush, I am also 5'10", dress is knee length on me. Hth

wineismysaviour · 07/06/2010 18:58

I'm 5'9 and it's on the knee, actually on the longer side if i'm honest, so 5'10 you'll be fine and dandy..

TheFirstLady · 07/06/2010 21:25

My Wallis one arrived and it is fab. Brilliant value for £16 - thanks Lynne.

ladylush · 08/06/2010 09:28

Thanks Rindercella and wine - knee length or just below is ideal for me

beanlet · 08/06/2010 09:56

Worth noting that (when I'm not massively PG ) I'm a fairly trim hourglass shape, and I look CRAP in wrap dresses -- they make me look fat and lumpy in all the wrong places. They look best if you have no curves at all and are trying to create some.

ladylush · 08/06/2010 09:58

Hmm, that's not good. I'm curvy - smaller waist and fullish hips.

beanlet · 08/06/2010 10:24

You could try it on and see? I've always liked the way they look on other people, they just look awful and bulky on me

southeastastra · 10/06/2010 20:44

they sent the wrong dress it's something called the venus dress and i can't even find it on the website
