?

I am nearly 32, but don't look it aparently. Would be worn with heels and a nice top.

Yes, you can only wear those if you are a 16 year old waif with a big side parting and too much eyeliner, sorry

MrsMorgan · 02/06/2010 19:42

LOL

Really ?, the person I saw wearing them was older than 16, although younger than me too, about erm 25 i think.

I am having my hair cut on Friday so I could get a severe side parting if that would help

yknow I thought these looked horrid - straight from 80s aerobic class. But my mate got some (has a good few years on you)and she looks pretty good in em. They're really quite slimming / flattering. Gives the llusion that the shiny bit at the front is her leg

she wears a short skirt over them

Eglu · 02/06/2010 19:45

Really don't do it. Leggings fine. Shiny ones, NOT!

MrsMorgan · 02/06/2010 19:46

Yeh they did have quite a slimming effect, but I am only a size 10 anyway.

Think I might take them with me when I go shopping for a top and see what they are like with other things.

Can you do a duck face?

MrsMorgan · 02/06/2010 19:47

Lol, no, although I could get dd1 (12) to teach me.

Olivia Newton John eat your heart out. You must have one toned belly lady. Would work with a skirt over them if you have the oomph to carry it off. As in you can't look like you are unsure about wearing them.

MrsMorgan · 02/06/2010 19:52

Belly isn't so toned, but you'd not see it, the top would be longish.

I think maybe i am in denial lol

OP posts:
vinauchocolat · 02/06/2010 19:54

Long top. Then yes, why not? life is short and all that, in 10 years time or even 30 years time you'll be looking back thinking why didn't I do that? Why didn't I just wear what I wanted... etc

missorinoco · 02/06/2010 19:56

If there won't be a muffin top wear it. I agree with vinauchocolat, in 10 years you will look back and think why not?

Chandra · 02/06/2010 19:56

Too old at 32? bless you!

eshermummy · 02/06/2010 19:57

I love wet look leggings and have at least 3 pairs but imo they are very much a winter look. I think I'd find it a bit odd if I saw someone wearing them in bright sunshine or on a summer's eve tbh. Get them, but stash them for next A/W

MrsMorgan · 02/06/2010 19:58

Hmm I am undecided now lol.

I have just lost a stone in weight and toned up somewhat. Would never have even picked them up before.

OP posts:
eshermummy · 02/06/2010 20:00

And I am (nearly) 37
I agree with poster who said they are strangely flattering on - I am short size 8 but my legs are def NOT my best feature but I look positively lithe in these with knee high boots

Gleeb · 02/06/2010 20:02

Definitely too old in my book (I'm 34 if that helps). Sorry!

sungirltan · 02/06/2010 20:04

i've got those and i'm 30!

Are you wearing a long top or short skirt over them? If not, two words, Camel Toe...

amothersplaceisinthewrong · 02/06/2010 21:24

These should only be worn if doing some extreme sport or going to a bad taste party. Age is irrelevant.

LadyLapsang · 02/06/2010 21:49

Nothing to do with age - they are horrid!

wineismysaviour · 02/06/2010 21:58

URGHHHH.......

ChallengingCitrusHalibut · 02/06/2010 22:02

More importantly the apostrophe abuse on that site brought a tear to my eye.
