Help needed! Make-up question from a total make-up-aphobe...!

Help! My sister is getting married on Saturday and I have my outfit sorted (includes this dress) though I am definitely struggling against my own size and appearance insecurities. Anyway, I am now stressing about make-up - which I basically NEVER wear. This is for two reasons - the first is that frankly I don't have a clue and the second is that I have extremely sensitive skin, so any previous attempts at wearing and gaining any sense of what I'm doing have been doomed by my skin.

When I do try to wear foundation and/or powder my face just sweats chronically until all the make-up (along with the sweat) has been dabbed off. I really don;t want this to happen on Saturday, obviously, so my question is a) does it matter if I dont wear any make up...full stop...? and b) can I really get away with just using my normal face cream (moisturiser - nothing fancy, but is tolerated by my skin) and then adding in something on my lips and/or eyes. Furthermore - what should these products be...??! (Have never bothered much with my eyes either as I wear glasses.)

Seriously, I havent a clue - - HELP!!!

First of all, it doesn't matter if you don't wear any make up at all if you don't want to. The main thing is to be comfortable. (Hope this doesn't sound rude but everyone will be looking at the bride anyway!)

Even if you do want to wear some makeup, if you've got decent skin (i.e. reasonably even colouring, without spots) then there is no reason you should have to wear foundation or powder. Moisturiser plus eyes and/or lips is fine.

If you have a few blemishes/uneven patches, you could try using concealer on its own - however you have to be very careful to get a perfect colour match if you're going to do this. Also avoid light reflective ones like Touche Eclat because they shine in photos.

If I were you I would look for a tinted moisturiser, as a compromise between normal moisturiser and foundation. Dermalogica do an excellent one but it's quite pricey. Olay "Touch of Foundation" is supposed to be good too. But if you can't find one, no matter, stick with your usual.

As for the eyes - definitely mascara, especially if you wear glasses, to make your eyes stand out more. Clinique and Lancome do excellent mascaras if you don't have one. Dark brown eyeliner if you feel confident enough applying it, but I think mascara makes the most difference.

I'd keep your lips natural coloured because heavy coloured lipstick does look a bit odd IMO unless you have the rest of your face "done". A tinted balm would be good, that way it doesn't matter if wears off or if it's not applied too neatly.

In summary, I'd suggest moisturiser - a tinted one if you can find one you like - plus mascara. Maybe add eyeliner and/or tinted balm if you fancy. The main thing is that you feel comfortable.

For a natural but polished look, I would use Clinique Foxy eyeshadow, a lovely light brown with a slight shimmer that would be hard to mess up, Clinque naturally glossy mascara which looks much more natural than any other mascara I've tried, and Bobbi Brown tinted lipbalm which is brilliant for adding a bit of colour to your lips simply and without stickiness.

Thank you both.
