I am thinking maybe

this for a casual look

or

this for going out

brimfull · 02/06/2010 12:22

thanks
like the cream idea
not so keen on the gold one though

I wonder about putting a clashing colour with it like bright pink or bright green and then a necklace to tie the colours together???

I would go BOLD ORANGE cardi and get a necklace, something massive wooden and orangey

brimfull · 02/06/2010 12:51

orange ...hmmm interesting
I look shite in orange but as it will be an accessory colur maybe I could pull it off..as I do look stunning in blue dahlink

what about coral ? I have a coral cardi already
also have said mahoosive wooden necklace

Shawl, not cardi. In white or cream.

If you can get a drapey cardigan, then a light yellow might look nice. But cream or white would be more formal. It would need to be drapey though.

blossoming · 02/06/2010 18:02

Silver is good with this kind of blue, also fuchsia, or white. (Just had my colours done, got the wallet!!) I don't know your views on boden, but they have a silver cropped cardigan here

brimfull · 03/06/2010 00:18

so by silver you mean light grey?

shawl too dressy/eveningy I think

I have gap white cardi but it's not drapey..what do you mean by drapey? I have large norks so the waterfall type cardis look shite

Just to say I have that Boden cardi in purple and it is lovely! A good shape for that dress I would have said.

Not available in many styles or colours tho.

I would be tempted by another strong colour too, was thinking orange with the tan sandals as well?

Sweeedes · 03/06/2010 00:38

I'd go for a gold cardi.

brimfull · 03/06/2010 00:41

gold??
am not getting the connection here
do you mean glittery gold?

Sweeedes · 03/06/2010 00:55

Is it for wearing during the day? To work? Or for holiday? Or what?

Gold is a very useful colour cardi to have. I wear my gold cardi with my fuschica pink silk dress and with a cobalt blue dress, not unlike the one you linked to. Think Morroco or India.

brimfull · 03/06/2010 01:27

not work , social and holiday I suppose ,what sort of gold..can you link?

OP posts:
brimfull · 03/06/2010 11:36

how about bright light green?

god I feel like emailing IO and asking what they would do

BooKangaWonders · 03/06/2010 11:43

My dd has just got a dress that colour, and I was thinking of turquoise/ silver.

mathanxiety · 03/06/2010 15:44

By drapey, I think I mean something like this with no buttons, loose and lightweight, that can be tied as the dress is. This one is even a little see-through so not frumpy, more like a suggestion of a cardi.

Sweeedes · 05/06/2010 09:08

ggirl - I'm sorry I can't find a suitable gold cardi... I have a lovely one from Max Mara but have had it for years and years. Not sure where you'd get one at the moment but here's a nice silver one as silver would also look nice.

Sweeedes · 05/06/2010 10:07

Oooh lovely gold cardi... but a leetle expensive unfortunately

brimfull · 05/06/2010 22:33

thanks sweedes
have ordered a few of the roberto cavalli cardis

Don't like the shrug/bolero style on me , large norks and that shape not good ime

coderrooo · 05/06/2010 22:34
