Help - my son won't wear the clothes I buy him

My 8 year old son won't wear clothes with badges, writing, zips, buttons or catches. It is turning into a huge problem, school trousers do not come with only elasticated waists in bigger sizes and pretty much all trousers fail on one of those.

1. How can i get him to wear clothes - any ideas? Bribery?

Anybody any one been through this?

1. Any retailers that might be able to help?

I often use a small bribe to get DSs to wear something a few times and then once they are used to it they will just wear it without the bribe being necessary (they just forget). It would be extremely useful if your DS could get used to zips and little clips they have on mock zip fronts, I think I'd focus on that.

I just Googled for Pull on school trousers and came up with a load of listings, these ones look promising -- I wonder if you could phone up to verify that they don't have a zip?
