Can you go for a super short style? I'm loving the hairstyle of Dr Xanthe Mallett from bbc2 history cold case at the moment.

Couple of photos of her on here

deaddei · 31/05/2010 09:21

Poor Ronaldinhio.
I feel your pain.

Ronaldinhio · 31/05/2010 09:39

I've woken up this morning and it's like this

I'm almost thinking some sort of headband or a backcombed quiff with a clip??

My cousin has remarked that it's quite Jed Bartlett

And, if you're like me, say "Thanks, that's lovely" as you part with the cash

I am a fairly assertive individual but it flies out the window in the salon

Ronaldinhio · 31/05/2010 09:52

she said "you like it really choppy and messy right?"
Me "yes (smile)"
then she dried it like a American weather girls hair apparently for a different look

i hated it

told her i liked it (farking hell)

then once washed at home i realised that she had dried it like that not because she wanted a different look but because it was the only way that my hair now went

You poor thing. Had the same experience myself once - I said short at the back and longer at the front please. I think the hairdresser heard longer at the back and short at the front. I cried when I got home, and wore lots of hairbands for the next two months.

deaddei · 31/05/2010 10:12

I hate it when they get out the SMALL radial brush, because you know you're goingto end up looking like a 60 year old virgin.
I had my hair cut last week, much loved hairdresser- but even so, popped back a day later as I didn't kike the fringe.
Sorted now- but it is hell when your hair is crap.
And when dh says "but do YOU like it?".
Can you get it redone?

Bumperlicious · 31/05/2010 10:14

Oh dear, is it reparable into a meg ryan-esque crop?

Ronaldinhio · 31/05/2010 10:17

maybe a crop but I'm 31 weeks preg and hiding under the security of my hair
well at least i was......

OP posts:
Lauriefairycake · 31/05/2010 10:20

Flatten it down a bit - make it really choppy

and wear a flower at all times to tell the world you're a girl

Blackduck · 31/05/2010 10:20

see it's threads like me that remind me why I have been sporting pretty much the same hair cut of the last 20 years.....total fear of what could be done to me....

deaddei · 31/05/2010 12:56

I remember having a cut at Toni and Guy when I was 30 weeks pregnant and 15 stone (awful time). I came out with a pudding bowl affair, which made my already swollen face look like a lump of dough. I remember sobbing in Debenhams toilet.
There are NO photos of me at that time.....

notnowbernard · 31/05/2010 13:35

But Ronald, you've broken the Golden Rule of pregnancy!

Don't go for radical hairstyling...

Congrats, btw. I'm 31w too. Hope you're feeling well otherwise

Disenchanted3 · 31/05/2010 13:40

sorry deaddei I had to laugh at that!

DaisymooSteiner · 31/05/2010 13:50

Lion-o?

Thundercats - Ho!

I do sympathise. I once had my hair cut and coloured a few days before my BIL's wedding. I came out looking like a badger, then when the hairdresser tried to put it right a few days later, she made it go green!! It was so awful we didn't actually go to the wedding iirc.
