Help! What to wear dilemma!

Off out this afternoon/tonight to see SATC 2 (I know, I know...) with a group of friends, then we are going for food and drinks.

My two outfit choices were:

  1. Navy tie dye maxi dress with a denim jacket and flat strappy sandals

or

  1. White linen trousers, black top, black wedge sandals.

However, got up this morning and it is pouring with rain. Leaving me with the choice of a maxi dress dragging in puddles, or soggy linen trousers sticking to my legs. And wet feet.

Please help!

how about skinny jeans with heels, a blazer and a fab scarf?

We went to see it yesterday. Tis excellent

helyg · 29/05/2010 10:28

I don't own a blazer, skinny jeans make me look fat with clown feet

It's too late to shop as I live in the sticks and the shops in the nearest town are pretty rubbish (not even an M&S or Next). Also it is raining and I have 3 DC with me and DH has the car in work.

So it will have to be somwthing that I already own.

I suppose I could wear the black top with jeans, but that doesn't feel glam enough somehow

Jeans, wedges, dressy top.

Big earrings.

Right, have been and tried on the black top (which is a bit like this but in black and sleeveless) with some straight-ish but not so straight that they make my bum eclipse the sun jeans and it looks OK. Have accessorised with a chunky black necklace.

Next question is shoes. I was thinking black wedges to match the black top, but am now thinking of using my small brown handbag like this but brown so should I wear brown wedges to match? Or should I use my black handbag which is similar to this and so possibly a bit big for going out?

Yes, black wedges & black bag, imo. Largish bag not a problem.

helyg · 29/05/2010 12:04

Largish bag may hide the size of my bum

bear in mind you will be IN THE DARK for 2 1/2 hours. Wear jeans and a top and slap on the make up to glam yourself up

I always look better in the dark
