Under Eye thingy that won't make me look like a reverse panda???

If there is such thing?

I wear the Lancome thingy that is the same as touche eclait but now my face is a bit browner I look like a panda in reverse (although this may be because I have sun glasses on constantly when outside to avoid those horrid wrinkles!) - am too busy to go to the shops and have a mooch at the moment so thought I would ask you guys.

I do not wear foundation - just want a sort of dark shadow cover up that will blend in with the natural colour of my face.

So girls what do I buy???

oh bugger just read you were too busy to shop.

otherwise:

go to bobbi brown counter

explain dilemma

let them leap upon you with a pot and a brush

purchase pot and brush

cyb · 26/05/2010 20:05

touch eclait comes in 2 shades, non?

TheFutureMrsClooney · 26/05/2010 20:28

I posted this last year and only got silly replies!

I ended up missing a Maybelline bronzer with a bit of moisturiser to make the panda bits match the rest of my face.

In spite of wearing factor 20, I already have a very noticeable sunglass outline on my face.

woopsidaisy · 26/05/2010 20:43

Bobbi Brown is definately worth the effort!

flowerybeanbag · 26/05/2010 20:46

I have the Garnier roll-on thing which is fantastic. I can bung that on with no other makeup and look less knackered, which is a challenge at the moment now DS2 has discovered 5.30am...

cupparooibos · 26/05/2010 21:37

arf at "reverse panda." DH has kindly pointed out to me that it looks unnatural . . . only problem is it's not from makeup, it's from sunglasses, despite SPF 30.

Never thought of actually trying to make them up to match rest of summer face . . . v clever Mrs. Clooney. And THIS is why I read MN.

by the by Sephora make a brush on coverup quite similar to Touche Eclat and much cheaper.

MadameCastafiore · 31/05/2010 16:08

Thanks chaps - is deffo a sunglasses mark - mine are huge as am wrinkle averse - will pop into bluewater next weekend on way down to in laws and grab the bobby brown lady.

I look rideculous at the moment without any make up on I still look like a reverse panda even my dark circles are lighter then the rest of my face.

brimfull · 31/05/2010 20:25

garnier roll on thingy is very good and very natural

teaandcakeplease · 31/05/2010 20:27

A number of my friends love Touché éclat. Never tried it personally though.

Coderooo · 31/05/2010 20:30

bobbi brown
yes touch thing is crap

Coderooo · 31/05/2010 20:31

and you apply it with a brush instead of foundation near eyes
makes a visible difference , even my h noticed

TheFutureMrsClooney · 01/06/2010 08:58

Garnier thing was on offer in Tesco last week, about £6.

Touche eclat is too thick IMO and neither colour a great match for my skin tone. Same with BB: too heavy and cakey for me, but I don't wear much makeup so it stands out. I like using my fingers, too, as I'm too lazy to faff with a brush.

I have the By Terry Touche Veloute (she developed Touche eclat for YSL) and I really like the light texture and coverage. It's not heavy and I use it all over the eye area, too. It doesn't sit in fine lines, either. I think it comes in 3 colours, so get one to match your current summer skin, or put a little bronzer/tinted moisturiser over to help even out tone.

mylittlemonkey · 01/06/2010 12:37

As someone who is naturally olive skinned and have tried and tested many concealers i swear by Mac cream concealer (the ones in the little round pots). Mac are great as they have two tones of concealer, one for paler skins with a pink undertone and one for more olive or tanned skins with a more yellow undertone. So more likely to get a good match whether you are naturally olive skinned or have a tan.

And, Mac's concealer is much cheaper than Bobbi Brown.

Goodluck!
