please come and talk to me about pegged jeans specif. those topshop 'Andie' jeans

i may be having a mid life crisis

i went to topshop and tried on the jeans and the shop girl almost convinced me to get them

i am 38
i remember these jeans from the first time around

thing is i can't wear ordinary skinnies, they look bad on me, and i can't find any of my usual boyfriend jeans that i like
i think the andie ones looked ok

come and be blunt with me

and tell me what shoes and tops and things go with them if i buy them

I think they look really nice. I think you would need more fitted tops to go with them as they are loose fitting. Flat shoes maybe ballet shoes or gladiator sandals?

do you think flat mary jane type shoes or converse type would be ok?

cod cod i bought elastic bottom trews from H+M today
they are superb - tapered and longish
everything i tried on in H+m looked nice
i could not wait to get on here and DISCUSS

so how far up are you meant to roll the jeans
they are just skimming ankle bone on me
i have seen people wearing longer than that and people with them rolled up more
i am clueless
they look good on men don't you think?

I have them. I'm 37. They seem to go ok with most things.

(I have the Andie jeans, not the elastic bottomed things)

roll up to about 6 inches above ankle (i'm tall btw)

I wear glads and wedges and shoe boots and all manner of simple tops

oh i am so confused who is talking about elastic bottoms and who is talking about pegged doodahs
cod i meant men look good in the pegged things (is that what they are called? i feel like i woke up and it's the future)

cyb what do you wear with your elastic things? is it the long black tapered ones? i tried the crop ones but they are dreadful on me

oh the under the knee ones didn't do it for me
there are some which are ankle length and they are such a nice shape
i was amazed (or deluded, i was having one of those rare days where you think everything looks fab on )
