What to wear on bottom apart from jeans?

I can always find hundreds of nice tops I like - mostly in the smock or tunic direction to hide the mummy tummy. But I am totally stuck in a rut when it comes to my bottom half

I have straight leg jeans and leggings, as well as two pairs of wide leg linen trousers (in black and beige/stone). At the moment it is too hot for the jeans. My legs are quite white, but reasonably shapely. I am a size 16 and 5ft 6".

Can anyone give me any inspiration before I go out and buy the wrong thing (again)?

Glad someone else is suffering my dilemma, Blinks!

Thanks Collision - I've been down the crops and long skirt route in the past. Because I'm quite wide of hip, I always think both are a bit unflattering. The crops make my legs look stumpy.

Southeast - got any links to any good linen trousers?

I'd personally go for dresses.

I think smock/tunic tops unless very fitted/skimming make most people look pregnant.

Zara and H&M have some lovely dresses in.

I'm wearing a zara one today that was £35 - knee lenght, v necked and fitted on the waist but with fullish skirt - I'm an apple and it really suits me.

Or how about a maxi dress - have a look in Dorothy Perkins.

have you got a link traceybath for the zara dress?
