Those 'lip plumping' glosses, am I the only one...?

who feels a bit, well, peturbed, when I wear one? I've got the Too Faced one, and have only worn it once because it made me feel very strange when I put it on. Bought the S&G one today (Sexy Motherpucker or something) and it's the same. My lips feel like they're alive and as though they've been badly sunburned or something!

Nothing major, but I feel a tiny bit panicky when I wear it - didn't realise until I just tried this one!

i had the s&g xxl one, it felt like a dental injection wearing off....sold it on ebay for a good price. I do not like the tingle

MrsMeow · 20/05/2010 14:09

Yes! An injection wearing off! It's a v strange feeling and I don't look very plumped up at all, to be honest!

Nice colour though, I went for the clear one. I have quite heavy eye makeup on today and it balances it our nicely.

I've got to go and pick the DC up in a bit. I hope I don't start slobbering and spraying spit all over the Alpha Mums.

wats - I was hoping for a bit more Mick Jagger!

Is it really an allergic reaction? It makes my heart feel funny

Ah it's just me being a drama queen really

As an actual lipgloss though, it's pretty good. It's stopped tingling now but is still on, all lipglossy and stuff!

Get Carmex instead. It doesn't have the same dramatic effect, but it works.

MrsMeow I had one from Mac which made me feel a bit panicky too. I didn't notice any discernible difference in plumpness of lips either.

MrsMeow · 20/05/2010 15:57

tulpe do you really feel panicky? I actually did, only very slightly and I feel weird typing it, but yes, v slight panic is how I'd describe it! How strange! Glad it's not just me though.

ruby I've tried make-up before, but it just either looks false or caked on. I only want to plump my top lip slightly, my bottom one is fine.

mathanxiety I used to use Carmex actually - it stays on for ages!

Yes absolutely felt very unsettled. Very mild but just like that small adrenalin rush when you walk into a situation and instinctively know something isn't quite right, iyswim.

I have the Two Faced one as well ... my sister in law bought it for me for Christmas, she hadn't told me it was a lip plumping one though (it has crushed chilli's in it apparently and I have never liked chilli). Anyway, I used it on top of another lip gloss (which was also a lip plumping one, but that one I knew about). I looked like I'd gone into a boxing ring with a boxer ... my mouth swelled like a balloon, and we were just about to go out for dinner !!!!!!

Mini - at balloon! But at least you know now that you'll never have to fork out for those expensive lip fillers!
