Big arms

My arms are fat and horrible, but I'm resigned to it.
Summer is a problem though, it's hard to find tops with sleeves and if I keep my cardigan on I sometimes get comments (how rude I know)
So what is the answer?

schroeder.I know what you are saying, I feel the same about mine,I am only a 10 but my arms look chunky.tbh I think nobody really notices apart from me, but I just don't feel right somehow.I have decide though to adopt a what the hell attitude as none of us are perfect,I would probably also moan if they were too thin.Just keep them in good skin condition moisturised etc and sod it

i bought a really nice cotton top from White Stuff with 3/4 length sleeves. I feel very cool (as in temperature ) in it and it hides my arms!!

Either a lightweight long-sleeved top under your top or buy tops with sleeves and modify them. Do you find it hard to find sleeves that fit or sleeves you like in general, if the latter just ignore the next bit!

I have arms that are out of proportion with the rest of me that I want covered because they are manly (too much canoe-ing, my own fault, so slightly different but horrible as I can burst seams like the incredible hulk when I reach up or lift something). I quite often cut the sleeve and either just sew up the edges (so an open kind of short sleeve) or add a piece of material, a la 70s improvised flairs (although I usually do this to the seam under the arm)! You can always get alteration places to add sleeves to things as well.

Good luck!

Three quarter length sleeves and light shirts that you can roll the sleeves up on.

Esprit are great for tops with sleeves that come in lots of colours.

This looks lightweight and has loose 3/4 sleeves.

A bit of colour for wearing over a vest top.

Lots of colours and if you layered these would last you into Autumn.

This is nice in the white and the Khaki.

schroeder Gap t-shirts recently have had decent sleeves - short, like halfway between shoulder and elbow, but not cap-sleeved.

I feel your pain. I have eurgh arms but am pg this summer and so boiling already, and really wish I could just wear vests. But I feel so uncomfortable in them, so am following darkandstormy's advice to make the best and keep them lightly fake-tanned and to stand up straight in the hope that good posture detracts attention.
