double-edged sword really. sometimes it's all the kids have and if you take it away they truly have nothing. so perhaps buying the goods IS doing some good, and maybe donate a bit of the money you saved on these deals to building schools projects or some such.

I spent a great deal of the Easter holiday discussing this stuff with people (including peopel who work for Walmart).It is as you say so complex- peopel are paid peanuts but in a place like Bangladesh, peanuts goes further fro a start and also gives women some autonomy.

What is true is that this is an issue so much more on the agenda than it was.
