Pandora Bracelets

Years ago I was bought a Pandora bracelet as a gift. At the time I had never seen one before and loved it straight away, it was before they came out in the UK. For years people commented on how unusual it was but now everyone has one!!

I wear mine often because I have been given charms for birthday presents from family who are no longer around and it makes me smile to look at them. However, I've had a few comments recently from well meaning friends/mums in toddler group along the lines of Pandora bracelets being 'so last year' and lots of people have 'cheapo versions' etc.

So what do we think? Time to consign it to the jewellery box and get it out in 5 years when the fad has passed? Keep wearing it? What do you think?

Do you like it? If yes who cares what your friends think.

There, solved in the first post.

You're welcome.

Keep wearing it! It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. It's special to you and you like it, that's all that matters.
I've been admiring them for a while now. The idea is nice, to be given a specially chosen charm as a gift to add to it is lovely, a reminder of the people who gave to you.

If you like it, keep wearing it I have been deciding between troll beads, pandora and links of london but since seeing versions of all 3 in the Argos catalogue it's really put me off

Coco - Yes, I should just keep wearing it I guess, its just that I can't shake the feeling that it is less special than it used to be IYSWIM?? Silly, I know.

It's not less special just because everyone has one - it's what it represents that's important and your bracelet has lovely memories of people attached to it.

Lauriefairycake I couldn't have put it better myself.

Put it away. I used to quite like them but now that all the frumpy women at my work that wear colthes from Next and necklaces from Sainsburys have them they make me want to vom.

Another vote for put it away. Big Mo on Eastenders has one and Dierdre in Corrie! Mine hasn't seen the light of day since.
