I am on a quest for the ultimate in both these things.

I'm fed up with all t-shirts being twisty, bobbly shapeless dishrags. Want nicely shaped well-cut ones that don't shrink up in the body.

Also moisturisers. What ones are really worth the money? I'm 44 have lots of fine lines and wrinkles, and my skin tends to be a bit dehydrated. Have recently bought Estee Lauder's 8 hour night serum. Too soon to tell whether it's working - will it make much difference in the long term? Any others that come highly recommended? Preferably by people other than the companies who make them, and the girls who get commission selling them?

Don't mind paying above average so long as it actually works.

I am totally converted to the Bioderma Créaline TS range of products at the moment. The Eau Micellaire cleanser is nothing short of miraculous for dry and sensitive skin. Cheapish but only available in French pharmacies and parapharmacies as far as I know.

I can't help with the t-shirts I'm afraid as I have a white t-shire quest of my own. I'd like one that you can't see a white bra through.

I've tried lots of moisturisers as my skin is dry and for daytime I use Chanel Hydramax + Active Creme (Don't get the gel creme. Not hydrating enough). It sinks in without leaving a greasy film so is ideal for under make-up. On days when my skin is extra dry I also use Elizabeth Arden Good Morning Serum. I use a little under my moisturiser and small lines vanish.

I started using Nivea firming body lotion with self tan at night a while ago after reading a beauty editor in a magazine rave about the benefits but a couple of weeks ago I swapped to Dove and my skin is noticeable softer and less dry. I like the light tan colour it gives too.

Another one who isn't helping but would love to know if anyone has found a non-bra showing white T that doesn't go limp after three washes... (and isn't £50 chez agnes b..).

Tiggy r.My two solutions to your quandries are cheapies.Olay complete daily care spf 15 about a fiver, and Peacocks t shirts brilliant they are,I have shopped around over the years, they are about the best imo, they are always cut long in the body,

SixtyFootDoll · 18/05/2010 16:44

I have vests from peacocks and they are shite, just thrown all of last years out.

I have some dorothy perkins ribbed vests and the are good.

GeorginaWorsley · 18/05/2010 16:49

I have a couple of White Company tees and vests that are fab.
Cost around £20,but often discount codes around.

I a ma big fan of something called Strixaderm, afaik you can only buy it in Fenwicks though, it used to be available online but sadly no longer. Not super cheap but not stupidly pricey as a little goes a long way. Advanced Night Repair if that's what you mean is brilliant too. I am a million and six years old but look a mere forty or so

White T shirt, no idea but would love any suggestions

Protect and perfect range from Number 7 - makes my skin feel good.

Resigned myself to only expecting a white t shirt costing £4 from Next to lasting maybe four washes. Kind of think of them as disposable items.
