Gladiator sandals to a wedding?

Would they look alright?

and Would they make cankles look worse or better? I have never worn them before but there are some nice ones around and I'm struggling with shoes to wear.

this is the dress everything.

It is a garden party wedding, so it's not too formal anyway, and pointy heels would just sink into the lawn.

I think I'd go for silver flip flops over glads

like the dress though

something like these from dune

MamaGlee · 18/05/2010 16:22

debs

nikki1978 · 18/05/2010 16:22

I would say not with that dress. If it was a maxi dress you could probably get away with it.

Zondra · 18/05/2010 16:23

I think if you've got lovely slim legs then yes, but,if you suffer from cankles (like myself!)do not go there.Sorry.
I only wear my gladiators with maxi dresses or slim fit jeans.

Lovely dress,though.

Zondra · 18/05/2010 16:25

Those Debenham's flip-flops would be lovely & a great price,too!

nikki1978 · 18/05/2010 16:25

Can you wear some pale gold pumps?

overmydeadbody · 18/05/2010 16:25

Ok, thanks everyone, I know nothing about shoes!

Mamaglee the flowers on the dress are actually quite gold, even though they look silver on the website, so sandals like you liked to in gold might work.

I tihnk I have found some nice low heel gold shoes in Office I will get.

overmydeadbody · 18/05/2010 16:27

yes nikki gold pumpos are an option, I was hoping tor a bit of heel to help the cankles out though, my default shoe is always a pump style

Think the second flip flops won't do, will show my bunions

OP posts:
Zondra · 18/05/2010 16:27

The pumps would look really cute with the prom dress in a 50's Doris Day way!

MamaGlee · 18/05/2010 16:29

oh sorry! yes, gold would be good

either ballet bump or flip flop

if you go fo r ffs, don't get anything penisy

overmydeadbody · 18/05/2010 16:29

rofl mamag, I promise I will steer clear of phalic flip flops

MamaGlee · 18/05/2010 16:32

WhatsAllThisThen · 18/05/2010 16:42

I LOVE the dress! I reckon 'dressy' glads fine if you are not a heels person.

scurryfunge · 18/05/2010 16:43

Wedged heels might not sink
