Tinted moisturiser for very 'english' colouring?

Alicetheinvisible · 17/05/2010 14:02

I really want a tinted moisturiser that

a)actually moisturises

b)is SPF15

c)would suit a very 'english' colouring

d) isn't too expensive.

My hair is a light brown/chestnut ish colour, my skin is fair but not pale and doesn't burn easily and i don't have freckles, but do have some small moles/big freckle type things.

I am a bit stuck on what to use.

Thanks

Well, you sound like me but I'm Irish. I have green eyes, tea bag coloured hair, and a few moles and a few freckles.

I used a clinique spf15 almost makeup. It was lovley. I think it was called 'almost makeup' and I used it in fair.

hang on i will google that. obviously clinique isn't cheap but it's one of the cheaper posh ones iykwim

i bought oil of olay tinted moisturiser with spf15,and it had a lovely mousse texture but it was just too dark, even the palest colour was too dark for me.

I want to buy another tube of it now, i'm using a different clinique one now, bit heavier, which was ok in winter

That sounds what i am looking for. I also have geenish coloured eyes. Link would be great

Sorry x post.

Will definitely have a look at it when i go to town. I like that it comes in Light and Fair too.

Thank you very much

of course if anybody comes along and recommends a really similar product for half the price, i am all ears too!

I bought this Boots No7 tinted moisturiser in Fair
yesterday.

I got it as a stop-gap (waiting to buy a Clinique one in duty-free ), but I'm actually quite impressed: it looks very natural and has spf 15. It was also a steal (I had a E7.50 off voucher too)

i like the estee lauder and no7 tinted moisturisers....found the clinique almost makeup too moisturising....i'd say i have normal fair skin, very dark hair.

Miche - what kind of skin do you have? Mine is a bit dry, but very dry atm (pregnant)

Popping into boots tomorrow, so will have a look at the testers.

i'm neither dry or oily, just normal....since i started using the liz earle cleanser it leaves my skin so soft i can get away with not always using a moisturiser. The cleanser has really sorted my skin out, tried the cheaper copies but i always come back to it. Just noticed your pregnant, i discovered the cleanser when pregnant too, my skin went very dry too. You can order trial sizes of liz earle. Wish liz would do a makeup range.

The benefit you rebel is very moisturising too, my mum bought it and i tried it, felt too greasy for me.

if you have a £5 off no 7 voucher, the tinted moisturiser would only be about £5, good place to start. I'm fair skinned and can get away with the fair or medium shade.

Lovely, thank you

Try Bobbi Brown's - SPF 15 Tinted Moisturiser. I am very pale (only Bobbi Brown and MAC seem to make products pale enough for me) and the Alabaster tint is perfect on me. There's also a Porcelain tint which is most people's 'very fair' and then Ivory which is still a little paler than most companies do. Then Warm Ivory which is pretty standard for other companies.

Incidentally, they're equally good at the other end of the scale. Bobbi Brown is one of the only companies a friend of mine who's Nigerian can use which is easily found in department stores.

I'm very fair too (though I mustn't look it as the counter women always look at me like this when I say I need the palest, then always end up sayong ooh you are pale aren't you...but I digress ;) ) - I like the clinique one, too, but have recently converted to benefit (it's called something like you rebel lite?) and very happy with it.

Gah

I use a lot of Benefit make up so was going to try that one too.

I don't think of myself as pale, but make up wise i seem to be.
