What to wear to the theatre?

Have been invited to go and see 'Wicked' and am now really panicking as to what to wear.

Any suggestions? My wardrobe contains mainly long cardigans, Long Tshirts, jeans and converse - I want something new but I dont know what.

ime the you can wear almost anything to theatre and not look out of place

although wouldn't go in evening wear

Anything at all though as ggirl says - not anything over the top though and if you go too smart casual you'll look like someone whose got the bus up for the day from the cotswolds iyswim.
