What do you wear on a night on the tiles to keep you warm?

Wrap, denim jacket, shrug, poncho, cardi or what?

Am having a night on the town on Staurday, wearing my new gorgeous sparkly seven jeans and a strappy top. Just wondering what to wear to keep me warm.

your beer coat of course!

Gobbledigook · 04/08/2005 10:57

Nothing - you don't feel the cold when plastered!

Couldn't tell you; nights on the town are just a dim and distant memory ...

Have fun, however you keep yourself warm.

madmarchhare · 04/08/2005 10:59

exactly

northerner · 04/08/2005 11:01

Yes I am a Northerner. I lived in Redcar till I was 18 and had many a night out staggering from pub to club, along the sea front, coatless, and didn't feel the gale blowing from the North Sea

But now you see, I am respectable and lady like and know I will feel a chill at the end of the night.

Think I'll wear a shrug.

shrug sounds nice, do you have one? (I don't have use of one as cardis much more up my street now don't have Nights On Town )

Blossomhill · 04/08/2005 11:02

jean jacket or little crocheted cardigan

northerner · 04/08/2005 11:03

No I don't have one. Will have to buy one. Have plenty of wolly cardi's but that might just ruin the look

Goodness, what is wrong with the youth of today? Get down to Damart, dear, and get your thermals on, otherwise you'll catch your death of cold. They do a very nice all-in-one with long sleeves and long-johns; just the ticket for chilly nights at the Bingo.

And where do you think you're going without your tights on? Shameless hussy; get yourself covered up. Legs aren't for parading around looking all white and pasty.

Nice, sensible duffel coat, that's what you want. Keep you lovely and cosy, and stop people seeing your knickers when you wear those skirts that look like belts.

I hear leggings are coming back....

northerner · 04/08/2005 11:07

Do I know you grumpy old woman?

OP posts:
northerner · 04/08/2005 11:08

Leggings? NO!!! Never again would I wear leggings. Ski pants were just a bad.

Mind you, Kate moss is still a fan of leggings.

northerner · 04/08/2005 11:08

Just remembered the leggings I had always went baggy at the knees. Bleugh.

I'm your mother, dear. Now get yourself back in here this instant and put some clothes on.

loulabelle222 · 04/08/2005 11:09

its august we shouldn't be feeling the cold! boo hoo! in the summer i always just suffer a bit if i am cold! otherwise i feel silly! in the winter its a big thick coat!

bundle · 04/08/2005 11:10

(take a look at topshop.co.uk - look under new, then bottoms...they're £12 but definitely only with long top/dress on top)

Mojomummy · 05/08/2005 10:56

Pashmina ? but swung around shoulders rather than tied round the next ( I still wear & love mine )

Or, not sure if they still have them , but Primark were selling these lovely little faux fur cape things, I wore one on with a silk dress & it kept the chilly air-con off me. They were £6.
My friend got one & wore it out on the town with strappy top & jeans...if it's good enough for Sienna
