Ankle Socks that stay up/fit well for the over 5's

Ok, so as many people would agree, BabyGap triple roll socks are the best at staying up for the under 5's.

Can anyone recommend a good sock for over 5's. My ds has become extremly moany about his socks and them not fitting right and doesn't want to give up his babygap socks which are now too small.

They don't seem to do a triple roll sock in Gapkids. I've tried some fairly thick Gap boys ones, no good.

I've also tried M&S but they slip round on his feet too (trouble is, is that each sock is supposed to fit a range of sizes and he is right on the lower end of the scale). Also the quality has got really bad with M&S socks lately.

Can't quite believe that I am posting about socks, but I'd genuinely apprieciate any shopping tips you may have!

I am not sure on the style/roll but having used Baby Gap socks with success! my 5 yr old boy has been ok with ones from NEXT. They wash pretty well and can't recall getting any holes in them.

ah ha, truly didn't think of trying Next. Mind gone blank.

Wondered briefly about tesco or primark, but thought that if I was having no joy with quality at Gap or M&S then these were not going to be the answer!

I forgot to say my ES has stick legs and they stay up ok on him.

Ta for the M&S tip off. Will stick to what I know.

Got some NEXT socks and he likes them, they are not slipping around on his feet. Rather than buy the 9-12 size I went for the 6 to 8.5.

My DS has the skinniest feet (E's) and legs to match (like your boy I guess!) and so even though they feet are size 10, these fitted perfectly!

No more moaning in the mornings! whoopie!!
