I slobbered over looked through this this morning when in town, haven't noticed it before, but there are some gorgeous bits in it for those of us that don't like looking like everybody else

I'd say the clothes are probably a couple of £ dearer than normal DP clothes, it seems quite boutiquey, but they look pretty well made. I left empty handed though as just can't justify it whilst I'm still out of work. I fell in love with the green circles tunic though (full pic doesn't show up when I link, sorry)

Interesting stuff.
I can see why some of the nicer pieces are showing no stock left.

thatsnotmymonkey · 11/05/2010 15:57

I think it looks awful, and looks cheap to boot. It is very "I have lost my way style wise, and so will only wear many embellished and printed items maybe with ruffles." Next stop per una

I like this dress
Green pocket thingy

I'm pear shaped though, and have saddle bags, would it look hideous?

Purplebuns · 11/05/2010 16:02

I personally wouldn't go for pockets on hips if I had saddle bags... unless I really liked the thing!
Some really nice stuff in there though!

MrsMeow · 11/05/2010 16:04

thatsnotmymonkey that's interesting. I actually thought it felt quite well made when I saw it earlier on. Admittedly, I didn't try anything on, but I was impressed with what I saw. Have you seen it IRL?

BornToFolk that dress is nice, but I know what you mean about the pockets - the green tunic that I like has the same, which puts me off trying it!

No not IRL, looks like a lot of cotton/poly cotton blends. Looks a lot like Primark stuff too I thought.

I retain my position though, DP has always been a bit of a style void for me though.

kando · 11/05/2010 16:06

ooh, there's some really lovely things there! Didn't even realise they had a concession brand - will have to check out my local dotty p!

kando · 11/05/2010 16:07

of course, that should read "there ARE"

SuSylvester · 11/05/2010 16:07

like this a ot

MrsMeow · 11/05/2010 16:09

I must admit that regular DPs stuff doesn't do much for me, I think I've only ever had a few basic tops and a couple of pairs of jeans from there. My local one is very small though, so doesn't carry a lot of stock.

Su, that's nice. What would you wear it with?

New Look did (does?) a range v similar to this stuff as well - I tried a cute tunic on from there a while ago, it felt like wool and was lined, so it hung really well as it was quite heavy. It had a cute little cat on and possibly some mushrooms? Sounds horrendous written down!!

BornToFolk · 11/05/2010 16:14

Yeah, wasn't sure if the pockets would be a useful distraction or just make my thighs look twice as big as they actually are!

SuSylvester · 11/05/2010 16:15

jeans
or a skirt ( short straight)
or chinoids

IngridFletcher · 11/05/2010 16:17

I am sick of tunic tops. They make anyone with big boobs look massive.

SuSylvester · 11/05/2010 16:17

YY

brimfull · 11/05/2010 16:18

looks shit to me

ButIHardlyKnowYou · 11/05/2010 16:24

I like heaps of it!

notasize10yetbutoneday · 11/05/2010 16:51

I haven't seen it in real life but a lot of it looks very similar to the stuff on boohoo.com.

janeite · 11/05/2010 17:19

Only looked at the first page but it looks like that horrible Ummi (is that what it's called?) stuff to me.
