I'm sure I've seen in a magazine a good website where you can upload of photo of yourself and then choose different styles and colours to see how they might look - anyone know what it is?

Yes, someone on here linked to it and I spent a good hour trying out all sorts of funky styles, it was good fun.

I think it was a make up brand that offered it, maybe revlon?

Google virtual hairstyles. There are several to choose from.

IIRC there was one something like hairdresser uk, or British hair or similar which was qguite good.

It could have been this one, Daily Makeover even if it's not it has what you want I think.
