I have to go to a music concert at ds's new school this evening. What would you wear?

They are holding it in a concert hall. Is a purple silk dress and a cream shawl OTT?

how was the concert? were the rest of the audience in ball gowns? did Ds behave?

I would be casual, but elegantly on trend. Grey wool Marni skirt, Breton top, wool tights and boots, if it were today's weather.

The concert was really good, it's hard to believe that children (teenagers really) could play so well (not that I don't have faith in them IYKWIM). I decided on a black shift dress (so Chanel - if it was Chanel that is) as the skirt had a split that went up too high They were wearing all sorts, some in suits, some in jeans.

Ds behaved really well, he did read a book for a little while though (not sure if this is a big no-no) Ds thought it was fab.
