i nearly bought some today but at £23 then another £15 for the brushes i decided to think about it first.

its the powder one, you twist it to grind some powder that you put on with a brush.

ive been using an Yves Saint Laurent perfect touch one, its fine but i just fancied something a bit lighter and quicker to put on.

has anyone else tried the Arden one? or does anyone have any recommendations for a lovely flawless foundation?

ta!

Oh I just re-bought the YSL perfect touch, I love it. But another of my favs is ID bare minerals makeup but it's sometimes messy as it is loose. I have the EA mineral makeup and tbh I find it good, quick and I bought the brush too but found it was casting quite a bit for a while at first - but it is lovely and soft. You also get a wee smaller brush that folds flat and you can keep it in the compact too, quite handy. It is less messy than the loose minerals, but sometimes I like the coverage to be a bit more and found EA fairly light coverage, I couldnt' seem to build it up.
My friend has just purchased some clinique minerals compact and that has an SPF20 in it, it looks nice but I have not tried that.

it does thanks - so you prefer the perfect touch one by YSL to the EA minerals foundation then?

maybe i should stick with the YSL one. its just i end up sqeezing too much onto the brush and wasting it. it does give nice coverage though and looks natural. i love YSL touche eclait too.

i daren't buy too many at that price without trying first!

I would say so. I like the perfect touch - I'm the same as you I squeeze out too much, I actually forgot to twist it one day and a lot ran into the cap sily me! I can sometimes get oily and that's why I like the mineral powder makeup, but tbh I'm not too oily with the YSL one. I do like it.

Re the EA one, I think maybe go to the counter and see if you can have it applied, or even better ask if she can match you up colour wise and then you apply it to yourself in the shop - that way you can see what you think. I also remember a friend telling me she used the EA one every day and it only lasted her about 2 months. Now, mine has lasted a lot longer but only as I use it occasionally. My YSL lasted me at least 6 months and that was with nearly every day wear. It's really trial and error, and you are right they are becoming more costly. If you get matched up for a colour at the counter you could then see if anyone on ebay is selling for any cheaper - this is what I should have done....

aha! never thought of ebay.
think ill stick to the YSL one for now, but thanks! helps to see what others think of em!
