Anyone seen anything smart? My entire wardrobe neess to offer easy boob access these days (for bfing, not nooky). Ideally something lovely and smart I can wear to a couple of weddings and a christening this summer...

Hello - I'm new and would like to know the answer to this too so will watch with interest. I'm thinking wrap dresses but they can look really frumpy if they fall below the knee... Sorry, not very helpful.

gingerkirsty · 30/04/2010 21:45

I'm wearing [http://www.houseoffraser.co.uk/Pied+a+Terre+Silk+bow+waist/134526712,default,pd.html?cgid=301 this] to a wedding next week, works perfectly for BFing and goes with any colour of accessories. HTH!

gingerkirsty · 30/04/2010 21:46

Oh arse this sorry

janeite · 30/04/2010 21:49

Ginger - that is gorgeous.

ZeroTolerance · 30/04/2010 21:50

That's lovely - what shoes are you wearing with it?

scurryfunge · 30/04/2010 21:52

this?

gingerkirsty · 30/04/2010 22:28

these - ok you think? They are comfy which is vital for me!

gingerkirsty · 30/04/2010 22:58

I also tried this on whilst searching but am too large of nork for it - tis a bit more weddingy than the grey one i think and also stretchy so ideal for feeding. The grey one fits me perfectly in my normal size 12 in spite of enormous boobage and in my humble opinion looks much better on a more womanly figure, rather than the skinny lady in the picture!

blueshoes · 30/04/2010 23:40

Loopy, I wonder if you are going to bf in public by taking your boob out of a V-necked dress. I have bf-ed in public everywhere, even weddings and churches, but I have to say that that is not the most discreet.

LoopyJoose · 01/05/2010 12:01

Love, love, love that dress gingerk have ordered it online to try (30% off and free postage!) - would work for lots of different things I reckon. Your shoes are funky, will liven up the dress which, though fab, is rather sober.

blueshoes yes intend to take boob out of dress but will have pashmina to hand for discretion. I know a lot of people prefer the top up, vest down approach. But for a dressy occasion what else can you do? I usuaklly find somewhere quiet to do it anyway and this just saves having to pull my whole dress of. I will avoid standing in the pulpit facing out while I do it though...

Loopy, that's fine. It's classy

gingerkirsty · 02/05/2010 18:38

@ blueshoes and loopy - did I not mention my pashmina - friend of breastfeeding wedding guests the world over! Is a fabulous cornflower blue colour and I have coordinating venetian glass jewellery Thus there will be no nork exposure

gingerkirsty · 02/05/2010 18:39

PS am rather re your 30% off but I really can't complain since my Mum unexpectedly paid for mine at the checkout! [spoilt princess emoticon]!

hettie · 02/05/2010 18:49

so has anyone actualy managed to scoop a boob out of that silk pied a terre one? Because it looks tricky (imho)

gingerkirsty · 02/05/2010 19:04

Have practised and it works a treat - tis stretchy you see

LoopyJoose · 02/05/2010 22:03

gingerkirsty pale blue pashmina is just the ticket - am going to get one! Can you dress me for every function for the forseeable future please?

hettie will let you know how my boob scooping goes... am rather excited about this dress now.

Blimey, I was never brave enough to do boob over the top of an outfit.
The stretched veiny mammary look was not one I felt good with-more of a side access girl meself but hey! Great dress/

gingerkirsty · 02/05/2010 23:10

@ Moondog My stretch marks will coordinate nicely with the blue pashmina

Loopy we will both look gorgeous

gingerkirsty · 09/05/2010 14:16

Just popping back to say, Wedding was yesterday and dress worked a treat! Wore a posh Phase 8 cami underneath to avoid excess boob/nursing bra exposure and I was able to pull both aside to unclip bra and latch DD on. Pashmina saved modesty - not mine as i don't have much, but that of other wedding guests! I don't have a single pic of me on the day or I would post one. 11wk old DD did me incredibly proud too
