Help - best nursing bra for big boobs (40D)??

Am struggling to find a nursing bra which is supportive and comfortable for my rather large boobs - they all seem to ride up and dig in under my boobs and dont offer much in the way of support. Can anyone recommend please?

I am also really struggling to find clothes to fit me and I have a wedding next saturday (my mums so need to look ok!) Had my son 5 wks ago so still very wobbly and 2 stone over my normal weight. Have giant boobs and no waist which means nothing seems to fit.....please help!!!

I know Im beginning to sound like I do PR for them, but try Hot Milk bras.

They are really pretty and blissfully comfortable. You can wear them while you are pregnant and / or for nursing bras too. They have about 8 rows of hooks on the back so the bra expands / shrinks with you.

They have a posh website www.hotmilklingerie.co.nz but you can get them a bit cheaper on Amazon or here: www.nursingbra-shop.co.uk.

I was an F cup before I conceived and mine just keep growing! Cant recommend them enough.

tbh it sounds like you are in the wrong size bra.

What jeans size are you?

(I speak as someone who spent 15 years in completely the wrong size despite being measured countless times at marks, john lewis etc)

You can get royce and emma jane on high street but i think both brands are RUBBISH. Try figleaves.com for Anita bras which are german.
Agree with hot milk but bit costly.
and for clothes, try bravissimo new range, they allow for big boobs tho style is a bit off

kateecass · 30/04/2010 20:09

this

Wore it through 2 pregnancies until it was blue/grey!! Coped OK with my 38DD boobs even though I wore it most days cos it was the best out of all the Marks and Mothercare bras and Elle McPherson bras I tried. Never tried Hot Milk.

Figleaves sometimes have money off codes

go to Bravissimo and get measured - 40 band is huge, I bet you are really a 34G or something

Elemental · 30/04/2010 20:17

Yeah, I thought I was a 40E, and my bra was riding up all the time but went to Bravissimo and I was a 36G. SO much better, felt a bit tight at first but quickly got used to it. It was a Royce bra which I found really good.

Anita Underwired bras can't be beaten ime. I was a 38G at my biggest when feedign ds and these were the only ones to give proper shape and support

dinkystinky · 30/04/2010 20:19

Definitely go get yourself properly measured - if not near a bravissimo, go to an independent lingerie shop to get measured. I liked royce mat bras (am an F cup normally, double F when bfing full time) - Hot Milk were nice too but not as supportive as the royce ones (but a hell of a lot prettier).

Another vote for the Anita underwired jacquard number that kateecass linked to. Am wearing it now. It's the only one out of hundreds that doesn't turn my boobs into a horizontal sausage.

ahedgehogis · 30/04/2010 21:46

another vote for bravissimo measuring, M&S convinced me I was a 42F when pg with DS, went to bravissimo for nursing bras and was 38H and had comfortable bras finally.

Anita Anita Anita. With underwire. And get yourself properly fitted, it'll change your life!
