Whistles grey parka, why do I need it?

Am I missing something, I mean how practical is a silk jacket? And, how do you wear it?

I feel as if I should like it. All the magazines are raving about it but, Im so clumsy, it would get a drink spilt on it within 5 minutes!! I dont know, Im sort of tempted. Are their sizes small?

Maybe it's good for keeping cool in the heat?

It would certainly be utterly useless for me here in Ireland with all the rain we get. I think parkas are becoming a little over-exposed this year so am resisting the temptation to buy one. I'd definitely want a waterproof once if I was going to eh take the plunge.
