How do you wear skirts in this weather now black tights are too wintery but it's too cold to bare your legs?

I'm finding I'm stuck in trousers at the moment as I can't work out how to wear my skirts.

I feel thick black tights is too much now the sun is shining, but it's too cold to go bare legged and nude tights are just naff and horrid aren't they?

This is one of those issues where I imagine everyone else has an obvious solution which I'm just missing.

So, what is it??

Move to London - it's warm enough even for me to have bare legs

All the bare leggers - are you all lovely and tanned (fake or otherwise)? I just can't be bothered with teh faff.

i don't faff with fake tan, though to be fair, I'm only going out on dog walks, not into town or work.

I'm in London and it's way too too cold for me to bare legs and feet just yet. Come on - the sun is threatening to come out. It's not hot.

It's definitely warm enough outside, though it's a bit nippy in my house.

You must be in North London

walked to school this pm in cropped trousers and s/s T-shirt.

Really really warm. Even my chilly pal agreed with me (and was similarly dressed!)

Thank goodness I've found other people with the same problem as me! Thanks for the hints.

Watching with interest. I have been wearing jeans /trousers for the last month [boring] as boots or opaques seemed too wintery. I tried my linen trousers on Sunday but it was 8 degrees and FREEZING

i dont do leggings ( as one of older people LOL)

Think i will try nude micronets [very daring]

I did go to trousers/spring stuff, but it was so bloody cold this week, I wore black tights with a black/pale tan pair of shoes and a cotton skirt and I thought it looked ok for May. I think the people wearing no clothes freezing outside the school gates and rubbing their arms constantly look at least as stupid as me persisting in wearing my jeans/tan boots and lighter jacket..(or at least that's what I tell myself!) I hate spring/summer transition for a different reason, I don't like flat shoes and I feel fine in chunky heeled boots but can't wear ballet flats without looking like a squat dwarf. I much prefer winter clothing. Oh, it's all so stressful...

I wear my knee high brown or grey suede boots with bare legs. Keeps my ankles warm, but is not too summery.

Wouldn´t wear black boots with bare legs though.

I think opaque tights after april somehow wrong not sure why.

Also, am not a fashion icon so maybe the whole boot and bare legs thing is mayor fashion offence...? I think it looks o.k. (do have fake tan on otherwise legs too pale)

I have dragged my trousers and boots back out as they turned the heating off in work and last week it was 6 degrees in my office, i was freezing.

I bought some thin grey Autograph ones today and some sheer-ish/nettish thin black ones with little spots. Hopefully they will look less wintry than opaques without looking tarty or stupid!

i have been wearing coloured thinner tights, the 30 denier ones for work with heeled shoes and for casual wear leggings with ballet flats, short denim skirt or long tunic dress.
not ideal but i think i look ok.
