traceybath how do you wear your newlook chinos?

I've been watching closely and noticed you have mentioned your chinos a couple of times...i bought them yesterday, yet to try them on and was wondering what to put with them.

Would flat ballet pumps, birkies, gladiators or fit flops go?

And what kind of top other than a vest, do i need to cover bum? What about these denim shirts?

I'm a size 14/16 apple shaped.

Shoe wise - I've been wearing them with these as I'm only just 5ft so always like a bit of a heel. But am sure they'd look fab with gladiators.

Top wise - I wore a vest top and scoop neck t-shirt in a nude colour and a cropped denim jacket on top.

Perhaps a longer line vest top and then a denim jacket on top?
