I will be 35 by the time the party comes around and everyone sees me as very safe in my clothing - usually a pair of skinny jeans and t-shirt girl, my Dh says I dress too safe! I'm 5'4" and a dress size 8 -10. I want something that will make everyone say wow, instead of seeing a 35 year old mum of 4 who dresses like an old lady.

Right.

How do feel about something like this as a starting point?

BessieBoots · 19/04/2010 19:50

May I just express my jealously at your vital statistics right now....

tethersend · 19/04/2010 19:51

Oooh, and what's your budget?

Because I like this too, but maybe best not to mention it

bellavita · 19/04/2010 19:56

What about this?

brimfull · 19/04/2010 19:59

how dressy is the party?

corkythecat · 19/04/2010 21:38

Skinny jeans and t-shirt is pretty far off old lady style.
you could have a play around on here if you are thinking of a dress www.styleshake.com you can then say you designed it yourself

Back again, sorry budget is about £50 maybe abit more. The party is for our friend who is 30 years old. Style is rock, so a rock chick kind of look is what I'm kinda after but am not sure whether I'm too old for it.

BessieBoots love your name as it's my eldest dd's name.

How about tight black spandex leggings and an off the shoulder jumper, big gold loop earrings and heels - ohh and biiiiiggg hair, ala Sandy in grease....she was rock n roll?

Do it subtly and you'd look gorgeous...

I on the other hand do not have your stats and would look like a drag queen....but you sound like you could pull it off easily..
