Reebok EasyTone trainers - worth the squillions?

OK, currently in a childish huff because I can't afford these trainers as the car needs a big service. DH is not being supportive sympathetic, so please tell me they are a fad, don't work and are not the incentive I need to get me off my butt and exercise. Please?

I don't know the answer but am interested in it as I could have written your post!

GypsyMoth · 18/04/2010 17:24

how much are they???

have seen the ad and like the 'result' on the models...

MaisietheMorningsideCat · 18/04/2010 17:27

£65.99 for the cheapest ones and they go up to £90

A friend of mine has had them 6 months and loves hers, she says they work well but they are rather pricey. I have gone for these www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B001AG9PSQ/ref=oss_product partly because of price and partly because I have some physical limitations so I like the variable insoles to work up to the full thing gradually.

They only arrived yesterday but I walked out and about in town in them all day yesterday (on the 'easiest' setting) and I could feel them working and could feel the 'ache' today. There are variable reviews online so they aren't for everyone.

Mum - you've just made me very happy! I didn't know these existed, and as they are in my price range I'm going to treat myself. Thank you

No worries, I hope they work well for you.

MaisietheMorningsideCat · 18/04/2010 20:45

Just a quick question - are they generously sized or neater fitting?

OP posts:
MumInBeds · 18/04/2010 21:06

Neater I'd say.

MaisietheMorningsideCat · 18/04/2010 21:13

Thanks

They had them in the Debenhams blue cross sale online a few days ago. My sis got them full price and said they aren't really worth it, calves are solid but not much change to her bum. Get fit flops instead x

HellBent · 18/04/2010 21:17

Ignore me they aren't there any more

MaisietheMorningsideCat · 18/04/2010 21:19

I did wonder about fit flops, but surely you can only wear them about a third of the year with our climate, and not really up to long power walks? (I use the word power loosely...)

Good to know that your sister isn't that impressed with the EasyTones.

You can get the boots as well but they are very expensive and ugly! £85-£150.

HellBent · 18/04/2010 21:25

The sole is very hard wearing I think on the fitflops

TimothyTigerTuppennyTail · 18/04/2010 21:31

Easy-tone scored 9/10 in a discussion with foot experts.

You're gonna ask me which paper it was in now aren't you......

Can't remember!!!

MaisietheMorningsideCat · 18/04/2010 21:35

Now that's not what I wanted to hear, Timothy! I can't afford them, thanks to the bloody car service, so need lots of "oh, they're really rubbish" stories
