Has anyone tried those toning trainers?

I'm thinking of getting a pair of those trainers that tone you up while you walk. Sketchers and Reebok do them. However they are totally beyond my budget at about 90 quid! Far too much to shell out if they're not going to work IMO.

I walk a lot now since getting rid of the car but I'm still having trouble shifting the weight

Anyone tried the magic trainers? Are they worth the money? Have you noticed a difference?

Am I just hoping for a miracle that's never gonna happen? That's what I get for having two babies in two years

I don't know about them, hopefully someone else will, but if you need to lose weight, maybe think about doing couch to 5K running instead (thread further down and in exercise topic).

Good luck

Anyone who believes wearing a £90 pair of trainers will tone them up and help them lse weight might as well have 'MUG' tattoed across their head.

There is only one way to shift weight and we all know what it is.

Sorry to disagree but I bought some MBTs in the John Lewis sale last year just after I had my baby. They are fab and as I walked everywhere I am sure they helped me to tone up.

Of course, had I not done a lot of walking, they wouldn't have made a difference. But seriously, go to John Lewis and try a pair on. You will see that it actually hurts to walk in them (calves and bottom mainly) and it does take a few days to get used to them. So they must be making a difference surely?

But they are so ugly.

Thanks for positive review papoose!

Yes moondog, anyone looking for trainers that will tone you as you walk from the fridge back to the sofa is indeed a mug!! Ooh, perhaps I shall invent them and go on Dragons Den and make my millions!!!!!

I do walk a lot now, and not noticing much difference in my weight.

deaddei, they are indeed not the prettiest trainers, however I'm hoping that if I do get them that (a) I shall look a bit taller, and (b) they wont't be seen behind the double buggy!!

I shall go try a pair on!

Like Papoose I got a pair of MBTs after my son was born. I walked miles with the pram when he was a baby, and I think they do work. I walked a lot anyway before he was born, but my legs are more toned. If I don't wear the,for a while, my legs really aches when I dput them on again!

my oh was a reebok rep and he got me some of the easytone trainers and flip flops about 6months ago. i had just my 2nd dd and i have always had a saggy arse regardless of the kids. i dont walk alot but i wear the flip flops round the house and i do wear the trainers when i take the dog out. i did not think they would work but i can honestly say my legs and arse look better than they have ever looked. i have not been dieting or done any additional exercise ( apart from running round after 2 year old and 8 month old). now i just need to find something for pot bellys and saggy boobs
