Ugh .... my stomach!

Oh heck ... I love my winter woollies! They're wonderful at disguising a belly which looks about 16w pregnant despite it being 2 years since DT's were born . How do I disguise it - please!!!!! I think I look worse because I'm fairly skinny - 5'7", size 8 bordering on a 10, and have recently gone from 8st 3lb to 8st 8lb ... but my stomach is waaaaay out of proportion. Problem is my split (ie. unzipped!) umblicius rectus muscle (is that what you call it??) so everything sags.

Okay .... advice please. I'm going clothes, shoe and makeup shopping tomorrow - what do I buy, what do I stay away from? Don't particularly want to do the tunic-top look as they just look too smocky on me.

Thanks

Ladies!

I have been shopping and I can declare the following to be at least acceptable over our over-sized stomachs...

Loose floaty top from H&M - comes in khaki, black, grey, nude pink and I think white. longer at sides than front/back, and best of all has REAL buttons so good for b/feeders amongst us! (can't link, sorry - H&M not online??)

Dress from white stuff here - they call it a tee, but is def a dress; good heavy cotton; I got it in cerise, which I can't see on the site tho.

Skirt from white stuff, here, looks good with vest top and short cardi - doesn't totally cover the bulge, but looks OK; I think the pattern draws the eye away from the tummy area!

I'd meant to check out oasis but didn't get there...

Good day had, I think, except I finally got the comment I'd been dreading from a store assistant (in Phase Eight) - "It's so difficult shopping for clothes when you're expecting, isn't it?"... I'm afraid I didn't have the heart to say, I'm not pregnant, so just sort of smiled and nodded - at least it saved me 80 odd quid on a frock that obviously wasn't hiding the bump too well!!
