Do you wear makeup every day?

Just curious really. Speaking as someone who has worn it all day every day since I was 16 and even had to reapply it before going into hosp when I was in labour with ds 1 which was a complete waste of time essential in my view, I've recently tried not wearing any. Mainly because I wear it as I feel it makes my skin look better but feel it could do with a break so aside from mascara which is essential I'm having a little time off, although obviously when I go back to work after Easter hols will be wearing it for work.

If I'm going out of the house I do, but only a bit of concealer, powder, eyeliner, light eyeshadow, mascara and blusher. I don't like the feel of the 'caked on' make-up.

If I know I'm not going out (like today) I don't bother. Although I do feel embarrassed if someone calls!

Yes, always mascara, and powder for my chip-pan greasy face. And blusher in the winter.

It just makes me feel better

Everyday
I wear make up that I hope doenst look like hve it on
So base, under eye concealer, mascara , blusher and tinted lip balm

Can see I might have to start wearing a bit more tho!

I do. Foundation, under eye thingy, mascara, blusher and 8hr cream on my lips.

Though when I don't wear it people always think I am younger. I was asked for id just before Christmas when buying wine in the supermarket with no make up on. I am nearly 34.

I do everyday - would scare my dc's otherwise.

I hardly ever wear makeup. Not cos I think it's wrong, more a combination of can't be bothered and can't figure out how to do it properly. I don't know where I was when other girls were learning to put on make-up. Probably climbing trees somewhere...

LaDiDaDi · 15/04/2010 22:16

I wear it almost every day.

I started to stop wearing it for night shift at work when I realised that I actually looked worse in the morning after 12 hours at work and mascara down onto my cheeks from rubbing my eyes than if I'd not worn any at all. Other than that and swimming it's pretty much an essential.

BeenBeta · 15/04/2010 22:17

Just a bit of moisturiser and lip balm.

LoveMyGirls · 15/04/2010 22:19

I realised today that I am in need of it, I don't really want to but I'm almost 30, still have spots and I look a lot better with it on than not.

I wear the "natural look" every day.....takes bloody hours! Foundation, concealer, highlighter, mascara, eyeliner, lipgloss, the works. Same as purplepeony - it's all nude colours so no-one thinks I'm wearing more than a touch of mascara and lippy but it just covers up the worst bits(black circles under eyes, mainly) and accentuates the better bits. The older I get, the more I think that good cosmetics (along with the the diamonds!!) are a girls' best friend.

Nearly everyday I wear tinted moisturiser, bronzer and mascara. That has been for the last two years.

Before that would have been mascara everyday and nothing else (I was lucky and had good skin). But I think its gone now...

Oh no! - I do, like most people, look better with it but find good make up very expensive and cheap make-up useless so buy very little good stuff and then try to wear it just for special occasions and days I need a little or maybe big pickmeup.

Generally I am, however, manickly quite fussy about having as good a haircut as I can afford because I think a good haircut can make a very big difference to overall appearance.
