Dry knees - help needed!

This sunny weather has made me start to think about the state of my legs and whether I am ready to set them free from opaque tights just yet.

On closer examination, the answer has to be no, as apart from the fact that they are so white as to be almost blue, my knees are ridiculously dry and flaky! How did that happen - they've never done that before!?

I daren't even attempt to use fake tan until I have sorted them out, otherwise I will have two very orange knees for the summer.
What can I do to fix them?

I have started exfoliating them and slathering on the moisturiser, but can anyone recommend a really good body cream and/or exfoliator to use? I think I will be needing industrial strength ones...

Thanks in anticipation.

I've been using my foot stuff on mine they were so bad, dry and yellow

Newtons chiropody sponge in the bath followed by flexitol heel balm.

They're almost sorted after a fortnight.

If they're really bad I'd say try Vaseline? Sometimes if I my feet are dry (sorry!) then I put vaseline on before bed and it does do a good job but obviously its very greasy you don't do it if you're bed sheets are particularly precious!

Thank you - will try the vaseline as I've already got some, then if that doesn't work I will definitely go for the heel balm - can I buy it in Boots?

Have booked a spray tan for the middle of next month before a wedding I am going to, so I need to get them sorted by then!

You can get sandpapery type things that are supposed to be designed for removing hairs. Can't remember what they're called - possibly SilkyMitts???? Anyhoo, DON'T try and use them for hair removal, they're useless, but they are good for gentle buffing of knees and elbows to remove dead skin and make them lovely and smooth. If you gently buff dry skin with a silkymitt and then bath/shower and then put on your body lotion/cream then that should sort you out.

Try the Sanctuary's salt scrub. Tis packed full of luscious smelling essential oils and leaves gorgeous oil on your skin to nourish and nurture dry bits, without being greasy. If you don't fancy forking out for a whole jar, buy one of their travel sachets - there will be enough for several knee treatments in one sachet, just fold the top over to keep moist inbetween usage.

My skin is dry to the point of reptilian And it is one of the few things which works for me.

Palmers Cocoa Butter is cheap as chips and works a treat too.

thanks for the ideas!
If I follow all your recommendations I will have the silkiest softest knees in the UK...
