What products for my red, sore, dry skin?

I've never had great skin but since giving birth to DS2 (and even more so since my periods returned six months ago) my face has been very red, dry and sore esp on my cheeks and shin. I do get the odd spot around my period but mostly it's just red and bumpy. I have tried various moisturisers and 'anti-redness' products but they all seem to make my skin go from dry to super-oily straight away .

Has anyone had similar and found any products that are good for it?

Sounds like Acne Rosacea. Get to your GP for a prescription of oral anti-biotics or topical anti-biotics. It's fairly common esp after hormonal upheavals..

Thank you, I looked up rosacea but I'm not sure if that's what it is because I don't have flushing as such, just permanent red bumps!

I have a red patch. Simple Derma cream (I got mine from Wilkinsons £2.97) is amazing - put it on, it's still silky 12 hours later.

But do go to the doctor - I was referred to a nhs dermatologist before, she was great and gave me fab cream that sorted it out.

And I'm sure you know this but mine is always worse when I don't get enough sleep, don't eat properly and don't drink enough.
