Well, well, you know what? I'd started to put my conceler much further down and out because I thought it helped. I'm going triangle tomorrow.

What was the palette she was using? I kept getting distracted by her eyebrows. I like.

cyb · 12/04/2010 19:12

not sure about her palette but another make up tutorial I watch (I love'em) showed a Bobbi brown palatte, with loads of shdes on it

you wouldnt need that many colours though. I liked the Laura Mercier one she used.

Ok. Do you put your concealer on top or under your foundation?

MamaGlee · 12/04/2010 19:20

ooh I LOVE THAT

am also purple under eyes

she had foundation on
she did light triangle - not further than outer eye
blended darker round outer edge
ROLLED on powder
then did the pearly thing

QueenCoco · 12/04/2010 19:26

You try it first MamaG.

MamaGlee · 12/04/2010 19:31

ok
shall i post pics?

brimfull · 12/04/2010 19:32

she had gobs of makeup on already though
and no dark circles to start with

QueenCoco · 12/04/2010 20:32

Yes to pics.
Don't try this 5 minutes before Brownie pick up.
Apparently you'll look like a "freak"
And "not in a good way, dude"

Oooooook

cyb · 12/04/2010 21:47

Yes Mama - post pics. I can't open the clip so you may have to do a tutorial as well. Do "before" and "after".

ClaireDeLoon · 12/04/2010 22:20

she makes it look so easy

cyb · 13/04/2010 09:34

ok have applied triangles. I think a lighter colour concealer would ahvebeen better, I used Benefit boi-ing no 2 as I have fake tanned face (and most of bathroom fittings)

It doesnt help that not only do I have the shadows but a giant crevice/crease under each eye where each shadow ends. Short of derma fillers those babies are staying. but ...i think it looks better than just pasting concealer on the shadow itself

ClaireDeLoon · 13/04/2010 10:46

I just tried this, it has made no difference whatsoever. I used laura mercier concealer thing and it did what it normally does, highlights the crepeiness (sp?) of the shadow bit. Have reverted to wearing a bag over my head as normal.

brimfull · 13/04/2010 10:59

I was at chanel counter yesterday drooling over the tower high display of everything that would make me gorgeous in an instant and asked for her to try the this miracle looking product under my eyes.
When she put it on dd was making rudey eyes behind her meaning 'nope -don't buy it is crapola'
It just sat in the dry lines. The girl agreed and said that I needed to moisturise my dehydrated under eye area instead of using a concealor.
So I bought some of this to miraculously moisturise my eyes
Was in a mood for spending yesterday.

QueenCoco · 13/04/2010 17:14

I think I need posh concealer stuff. Did triangle but cried at work (wuss) and ruined it before anybody could tell me how wonderful I looked.

Another thing I read was by Madonnas make up artist, she said to put your blusher right up under your circles.

pinksupergirl · 13/04/2010 21:20

Hi, i'm another under eye circle sufferer unfortunately. I tried the triangle thing this morning and I think it was better! I use Bobbi Brown corrector and then a concealer as well.

SandylovesZsadist · 13/04/2010 21:54

cyb thanks for this - will be trying it tomorrow

cyb · 13/04/2010 21:56

I think it was def better for me.

I usually look too pale just under my eyes with all the concealer...wil do triangles PLUS Madonna blusher tomorrow

Can I pimp the Benefit concealaholic set, it is a bit pricy but it contains pretty much all of their concealers including two shades of boing, one of their erase paste, lemon aid, eye bright, that gal and some of their brushes.

I've been lusting after this plus touche eclat for quite some time.

Was reading thread with interest as have terrible under-eye circles. Went to SpaceNK yesterday and they recommended ByTerry concealer - by the person who invented Touche Eclat but this is more of a concealer as well as a light-reflector apparently. Anyway, I bought it and it definitely works - you can still see dark circles but much more faint. It's ridiculously expensive though - was £29 I think.
